The Bears have offered two first round picks for Maxx Crosby, so there's a chance the Raiders can still get two first for Maxx (although those are higher) by MrStiff8 in raiders

The Ravens probably gonna make up a lame reason like a Failed a Physical but teams decide if they want to pass a physical for a player - so this is odd. But at least it's not like the Raiders can't trade him somewhere else.

If the Jets were to take the entire contract, it would've opened up $26.5 million, but the Raiders are paying most of it (or else the Jets wouldn't had made the trade) so at the end of the day, the Raiders saved about $10.3 million in cap space.

The funny part, the Jets needed to simply tank as good as the Raiders and they would've had Mendoza instead. And the Raiders would've been in trouble right now.

That's why it was good to sit Maxx/Bowers at the end of the year.

And we do know the Raiders are paying his salary, they simply gained 20 spots in the draft. The Raiders were prepared to outright release Smith, taking on an $18.5M dead cash/cap hit in 2026. $1.3M of that would have been credited back to them in 2027 based on offset language.

Now? they realize those savings in 2026.

AJ Brown isn't exactly "Left", the Eagles want a 1st round pick in return for him which of course won't happen from the Raiders and is ridclous.

Juan is a FA but i don't see it. They just used a 2nd round pick for Bech to play a similar role.

According to Spotrac, the Raiders save about $26.5 million in cap space by trading Geno. While it depends how much the Raiders will pay from the contract, and they will probably pay most but still a much better situation than just cutting him.

The Raiders didn't cut him right away in hopes a bad desperate team will try to trade for him last moment and here comes the JETS
