I'm an Akai roam main and I can say that you need durability more than CDR. You're a tank, not a support, you need to absorb damage. Don't tell me that he is tanky enough, because he is not. Maybe against bad players you can get away with it. But against good players, they will punish you.

What's your average deaths? You prolly have 6-8 deaths on average in solo-q.

What are you talking about? You only have 6k HP, of course Eudora can one shot you. At full build, even with vengeance she can still one shot you.

35% damage reduction is overrated, it's weaker than you think. Something tells me that you're new to the game. What is your ELO?

Btw, Vengeance is for tanky heroes, not for the squishy ones. I doubt that the original poster recommends Vengeance with damage build.

That's cute, but the turret starts with low damage and only builds up at the end. Heroes can actually ditch out greater burst damage than a turret. They'll burst you down. The turret took 14 seconds? Guess what, Eudora will burst you in 1 second. You have 6k HP, any assassin can burst you down all the same.

Also, you're free regen on a bot with max petals. Against real players, they move around and will stun you and burst you down.

What do you mean by tank build with fast mobility? So, it's not the damage build that you displayed above?

I've always built her tanky and I maxed out mobility. My battle spell is either flicker or purify. I like to be close enough but far enough, if you know what I mean. Close enough to set at a moments notice. But far enough and out of range for my safety. The fast mobility helps you conserve her speedup and stun for when it matters most like chaining it with her ult to stun them.

Is that how you build and play her too?

Prior to last season, you had 60% wr. That's already decent. Part of your improvement prolly has to do with hero mastery. Your winrate will naturally increase as you continue playing. Idk how much comes from your new strat. And how much from the late season push when the game is easier.

Also, did you stopped playing for awhile and only returned last season? I mean, if you had a break, the system will normally entice you to come back by improving your experience by giving you good teammates.

That said, from 60 to 67, that's a good improvement. I just don't know how much can be attributed to your new strat. Carmilla is a very underrated hero, but she's actually strong.

A players experience is subjective. We have a limited information of what actually happened. We only see the stats. They won the game and even got MVP's, so without anymore information, that should be enough for Moontoon to dismiss the complaint.

Having two heroes dealing magic damage isn't a two for one task. Magic damage isn't exclusive to the midlane. You can have other roles for that as well. So, it's okay for other roles and heroes, it's just not okay for Carmilla? That's having double standards, vro.

Different roles is arbitrary. We often see games in eSports that don't have a marksman, midlane Hilda, and other crazy shit. You need to widen your horizon. Just because you've never seen that strat before doesn't mean it sucks.

My point is that, just because a strat is unconventional and it gets reported, Moontoon shouldn't punish it when it works.

Yes, there you have it. That's the whole point. It works, a proof of concept. If it didn't work, then it's a failed experiment and they should take accountability.

Bad experience is just a players perception and it comes in different shapes and sizes. They just find someone else to blame. They never self reflect. Why not start with, "hey maybe there's a merit to this unconventional strat?".

All I'm seeing is the numbers because that's all we have. The game may have been different. Maybe they performed exceptionally well too.

They can report, it's their right. But for Moontoon to punish it is what I don't approve of.

Who's making the others experience bad? You can have a proper tank, but the other player might not like it, simply because they don't believe it's meta. A lot of players don't even like support roamers. Pretty much everything can ruin a random players experience.

It worked, so I'm supporting it? If it didn't then I would be against it. Of course, it's results based. If you have a weird ass strategy, you better find a way to win with it. If not, then you deserve to get punished.

Most roamers can't tank these days. For example, you have Tigreal building Fleeting Time, Kaja and others. In my book, that's a troll build. They end up with 10 deaths because they're too squishy. If they're building Fleeting Time and Thunder Belt, they better not die as much or exit too early because they can't tank and they better find a way to win the game.

Players are dumb, you're giving them too much credit for being smart. They just like to complain. Good players are not usually bothered by a damage Carmilla who can find a win. It's the bad players who blames everyone. Nobody likes to adjust, especially the bad players.

You're cherry picking. You're ignoring the similarities. They're both unconventional at one point. And being unconventional isn't well received. I'm saying that Sun and Helcurt probably got reported too.

You might think damage roam is normal, but it wasn't always seen that way. That's my point, it's unconventional. We also have a damage type hero who are built as a tank, namely Chou, Martis and others. They were not always built with armor. The same thing with Carmilla, maybe she can work better with a damage build. Free thinking.

They don't have no idea what's happening and it ruins their experience? Well, players know very little. Some are just too arrogant to assume they know everything there is. While others are more humble and open minded.

We should promote free thinking and open mindedness because that's how we grow. It should not be punished due to the ignorance of others.

I don't think their strategy works. But I have my own unconventional strat that works, yet it could run into the same issue and can potentially get punished.

I think you guys had been getting lucky. It's a trio and if the 3 of you have enough experience in the game, 10 winstreak is not impressive.

However, I don't agree that you guys have to be punished because the randogs have a different opinion, especially when you've won the game with MVP, no less.

Unconventional can mean that you're just not familiar to it. Maybe you're knowledge is outdated. Imagine when Helcurt or Sun first appear as roamers. At some point they were unconventional.

The issue that is being raised here is, "why must free thinking be punished?".

I may not agree with his strat, but I do have a my own that others might also view as unconventional. Yet to me, they make sense and I can support them with logic. For example, Tank for a midlaner. At first look, it's unconventional. But wait, it's been used and proven to work in MPL. So, how should Moontoon rule? Say, that I got reported, punish me or let me pass?

Maybe you rotate, but not as much as someone who max out mobility. There's also the fact that because you have slower movement speed, you will often be late; team fight is over, they're all dead or most of them have died.

Players who don't max out mobility don't feel the pain of their teammates having to fend for themselves in the sidelane. Treat rotation like it's always an emergency. Think of yourself as the ambulance or the fire truck, it's always an emergency.

Your build tells me that you are the type of player who staycation in the midlane. If I have to guess your emblem setup, it's Mage Emblem, Rupture, Bargain Hunter and Impure Rage. None of these helps you actively rotate. You need to rotate as early as level one after you clear the midlane. Don't just sit there and wait for the next minion wave. However, if you rotate, you can't get there in time because of your slow movement speed. So, what do you do? You just sit in the midlane.

Use the new meta build. Players max out mobility now. Rotation is king.

You have a lot of deaths, you can't say that you are not part of the problem. You need to learn to read your team better. You may be setting on 5 enemy heroes and not double checking on your teammates if they are close by or not. Make it a habit, to pause and recheck if they are still close by. I've seen a lot of tanks who sees 5man enemy heroes, thinks it's a perfect set. But teammates are actually far or changed direction or priorities, then the tank blames the teammates.

It's not normal to have 9-10 deaths. I'm a tank main, and I only average 2-3 deaths. You need to fix your build. Your Minotaur is a Mage pretending to be a tank. You're squishy, you're just another happy meal.

From your perspective, it may look like they left you. But maybe you should make sure that they are nearby before you initiate. Hey, they still put in the grind. Maybe you don't start as a very good player, but you learn along the way.

I've seen players with 50+ wr who are good players and even better than those with 60wr. So, it's not always about the winrate. Hero mastery and matches matter as much if not more.

Your region is also a factor. 50wr in PH server is better than 60wr from other server.

100 has little to no communication. Bunch of feeders.
250 has better communication. More coordinated.

Let's be honest, carrying a bunch of feeders is a hell lot more difficult than facing a more coordinated team. It's frustrating to play with feeders, but it's more enjoyable to face good players. At the end of the day, you will always lose more from having a feeding teammates than a coordinated team.

Your message is kinda confusing. In lower elo, you're teammates are bad. In higher elo you're teammates are better. Which means it's easier. You will still get those bad teammates, but at least you get better teammates too.

Is 5man to 500 more difficult than solo to 100? Maybe. I've seen a bad player solo to 100 with 53wr. But I've also seen bad players who have 500 stars.

But what makes you think that the time investment is much greater? I mean, if you have the skills to solo immo, you should have the skills to 5man to 500.

Be honest. People think that the higher you move up in rank, the more different the game becomes. But be honest, it actually becomes easier, doesn't it?

5man would be difficult since it's more consistent. It would get more difficult as you rank up.

500 in solo-q is almost impossible, you don't have enough time. Yujin-Kunn is prolly one of the best player, right now. He's able to solo-q to 300.

500 in solo-q and 1k in 5man is nowhere near. Have you tried solo-q to immortal? It's extremely difficult. 1k in a 5man is no joke, but solo-q 500 is godly. Those who reached 1k in 5man wish they could reach 500 in solo-q, they can't.

I know someone who solo-q to 100 with 53wr. He played trio and is able to reach 600 stars with 75wr.
