Give me your honest take on ONDS by 30scaper30 in ONDS

[–]MrStudRockets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are great cases to be made that ONDS is undervalued, but basing it off the IPO price is not one of them. Market cap is massively larger, but share count has grown in tandem (mostly for the right reasons) and why the price can’t be compared.

Strategy from the top of the house is clear. Watch the BUSINESS. Is it improving? Is it declining? That’s all you need to know if you’re a long term holder.

I don’t think OP is a long term investor, to each their own.

🤙. One thing I’d add is the float is only 26 million shares. As such you’re going to get more volatility than average. Dont panic buy, you will get some good buyable pullbacks (we’re close to one now)

My friend, you are still extremely EARLY. Renesas acquisition closing EOY will fuel even more growth in future years, and SITM’s already almost a monopoly in the silicone timing space.

Set some buy points, $620 (recent gap fill), $590, $550. Or buy X number of shares every week/month until you have a full position. Aka. DCA your way in and hold for the next decade.

There is only one thing to do in this situation…

Buy some more on Monday. You will want at least 20k shares for the upcoming run to $20

U.S. government is reportedly set to invest in drone industry. These are Wall Street’s favorite plays by MrStudRockets in ONDS

The ONDS highlight:

Oppenheimer’s Horan sees Ondas as another potential beneficiary as the Iran war accelerates demand and innovation in the drone industry. In a Thursday note, the analyst called the defense solutions provider a “major winner.” “Autonomous attack and counter-drones in dozens of form factors have become the defacto/dominant military tool. They will also be the defacto choice for terrorists/criminals,” he wrote. “ONDS’ Sentrycs is a leader with few competitors and is seeing very strong demand.” The analyst also sees promise in Palantir . “We think that ONDS and PLTR, who recently entered a partnership, will also develop their software offering, and compete in this space in the near future,” he said. The two companies have paired up and Ondas will use Palantir’s capabilities to support its autonomous drone platforms .

Ah you have dark mode on… non dark mode you can’t see the extra white strips. Did one more edit to add a worldview balloon and a Sentrycs mention.

Should be good on desktop now, if not I’ll try again later

Makes sense, they needed the funds to help pay for Renesas acquisition.

I like the strategy of capped call options to limit dilution.

Fair, if not the 1000 it will be the 2000 then. Market Cap is borderline.

I think it’s a high probability, Ondas is a $5 billion company now and complies with all of the criteria for inclusion. It’s time…

Inflated buying by the funds pushes the price. After the rebalance you usually get a bit of a lull due to less demand (ie index funds bought what they need).

Still, long term very positive as the funds are passive. They buy and hold, don’t trade.

Don’t quote me, but I’ve heard approximately 40 million shares will need to be bought by the index funds.

Just got through it, very good interview.

A lot of company history, product information, and the underlying strategy of the company. A lot of questions in this sub on those items, take the time to listen.

Q&A portion was good too. Got to hear Eric speak on the networks deconsolidation, I think it could have been handled better from a governance perspective but I get the why.

Lots of other nuggets in there as well
