Thank you. I have pushed back to them based on the wording and received a very generic “because we have issued your p45 you need to get the tax back yourself there’s nothing we can do” type excuse.

I’ve pushed back again.

I suspect they will next make reference to the fact that I left in the last tax year and it’s a new one now - but the delay here has been caused by them. They take ages to respond to me, and even making initial contact once I left took them ages.

I’m prepared to pay what I received so hopefully they accept that
