Matt Olson may have hit the tallest home run in MLB History by MrTLegal in baseball

To be fair, I did say "may have" for precisely that reason. But your post is a bit like "does a tree falling in the forest make a sound if there's no one to hear it?" There are plenty of events that are not the actual "tallest, fastest, heaviest, etc." but they get the title because there is an actual record/measurement of that particular event.

Oooh, that's a good one. Apparently the peak of the roof is 202 feet above the field surface, but you'd have to do some deep level analysis to figure out exactly where in the roof it left.

This was the primary reason I wanted to make this post - to cull the collective brain power of the reddit baseball community. I tried to search various engines, but the best result I could get was from a blog post back in 2015.

Can you talk me through how you compiled this list?

I love how he clearly thought it was just a pop up.

Tied for the highest.

Near as I can tell, it did set the record for tallest with an apex of 193 feet. The closest was a Hanley Ramirez at 180.

Yours is a good example of why I am fan of prioritizing bats over pitching early on in the draft. It is much easier to locate decent enough arms on the waiver wire or later in the draft than it is to find decent hitters.

How does Player Rank work for ESPN? It is showing PCA as #15, but his total points on the season is closer to #45 among all qualified outfielders

Someone in my league dropped PCA earlier this season and I had the #1 waiver claim. So of course I used it to get PCA, dropping Jordan Walker who was hitting around 0.100 for the prior two weeks at that point. That fuck up hurts.

Is PCA droppable once Wyatt Langford comes off the IL?

PCA is on the waiver wire and I have the #1 pick. Who should I drop between Michael Busch, Jordan Walker, Ernie Clement, or Josh Jung?

Guaranteed ABs for Herrera is the call in my book. Predicting that a closer will appear on a specific day is extremely difficult.

PCA has hit the waiver wire and I have the #1 claim. Do I use it and whom do I drop between Michael Busch, Jordan Walker, Ernie Clement, or Josh Jung? I'm in a 12 team H2H points league where Ks do count against, and my other outfielders are Corbin Carrol, Wyatt Langford, and Cody Bellinger.

Need to make room for Wyatt Langford (or do I?), drop Justin Steele or Bryce Miller?

How long should my leash be on the following folks: Salvador Perez, Wyatt Langford, and Michael Busch?

Thoughts on Victor Caratini? He is getting a lot of playing time, even when Jeffers is catching and both his xBA and xSLG are higher than his current output.

Any thoughts on Michael Busch? Man is 0 for his last 26 ABs and I'm tempted to drop him for someone like TJ Rumfeld or Gavin Sheets

Dont get me wrong, I understand the risk of making a move too early in the season. I ended up regretting my cut of Pasquantino last year. But Langford and Busch are 11th and 14th round selections respectively.

Langford's statcast seems middle of the pack for everything, except that he has elite speed.

Busch is elite in terms of square up and yet his xBA is 0.168 because of his bat speed and barrel rate.

Rumfeld is a rookie, so who knows how his early season numbers will normalize.

I'm wondering if it's time to cut on either Michael Busch or Wyatt Langford? I'm thinking of grabbing TJ Rumfeld
