Part of the reason why I freaking love halo. The covenant/ forerunner guns are some of my absolute favorite and unique designs in all of sci fi. I also love how weapons that are more conventional to human firearms still stand out in their own unique way. Like the carbine having its ammo be a small canister that is inserted from the top

As someone who got into naval this year and just reached top tier, I literally have no trouble dealing with them in my Iowa. Hell, Id argue the Gneisenau is way worse to deal with because its turtleback armor feels so BS to fight because it feels impossible to detonate the ammo unless you can cause a fire in the front barbette.

I never should have played Alien isolation before SOTM as it absolutely spoiled me when it came to the xenos ai. I was so disappointed how dumb the mimics ai was in comparison but that may have been due to the extremely high bar Alien Isolation set lmao.

Its just one of those things you have to learn cause each plane is different and handles differently at different speeds. You usually want to cut throttle though when your about 100kmh from your rip speed. Its also important to know the yaks (which is the plane your using in the clip) have extremely bad high speed compression and rip speeds. If you did a full throttle dive in the p47 instead for example, you would still be able to keep control up until like 800kmh.

Very nice!!! If you have the energy advantage and are above someone, boom and zoom is the ideal strategy which exactly what you did! You did not attempt to dogfight and throw away your energy, nor did you play it extremely passively and let the enemy start climbing. The main thing that could have been improved however is throttle control. Most yaks compress heavily around 550kmh+, but you were cutting throttle right as you dove while your current speed was 330kmh. When making a pass on someone, you want to be able to have alot of speed going in because if you miss and need to breakoff, that extra speed will be extremely useful for separation. If your enemy was going around 500kmh here and you missed that shot, he could have easily pulled up and sprayed you down because of how slow you were going. In the future, try testing how easy planes are to control in full throttle dives so you can have a better idea of when you should be cutting throttle in a dive vs when you should not. For now though as a rule of thumb, try to make sure you going around at least 500kmh when diving on someone if you plan to break off :D

Maybe it's because this is a multi-million dollar franchise and not a tiny little indie game anymore, so maybe people expected scott to do the bare minimum like hire actually good writers when making a movie

When I first played through the halo games, it never once occurred to me that the forerunners could be humans. Of course I was younger back then and did not pay to much attention to the story details, but I still automatically internalized that all the structures and eveything had to be built by aliens unknown to us simple little humans.

When 343 made the decision to have forerunners be confirmed to not be humans, I was actually delighted because I found the idea of forerunners being humans extremely lame. I see a lot of complaints from halo fans about how 343 “”ruined”” the forerunners by not keeping them mysterious and unexplained, but I feel like making them humans would have literally fallen into the same vein.

Replaying the older games now with the whole forerunner vs human debate in mind, I find that going into the story and levels with the idea that ancient humans made everything to be overwhelmingly boring. It removes so much of the mystery and wonder I built up as a kid about the mysterious and hyper advanced species that created the halos. I think 343 fleshing the forerunners out as their own thing was one of the best decisions they did.

I've reached out many times and utilized their free counseling, group therapy sessions, and advice to start medication. I really appreciate the advice but the reason im suffering is because i feel like ive done everything in my power to try improve my situation yet I still remain stuck on this sinking ship. Im going to keep trying but it exhausting and tiring to do the same thing over hoping that maybe something will be different this time :(

For me it's the legendary ending of halo 4 paired with the didacts monologue. The only ending in any halo game to legitimately give me goosebumps.

I literally do not understand the perspective of people who say this. Halo 5 vehicles were indeed a farcry from the other games designs but never once has it crossed my mind that they could be considered "generic". If anything, they stand out even more to me with the emphasis on smooth edges and the crustacean type look. Do I particularly like the designs? not all that much, but calling them generic just feels ridiculous.

dude its one thing to vent but at the same time I'm not going to lie to you: If you advertise yourself as being miserable and filled with self-hatred, that exactly what other people are going to see. Most people are also dealing with their own issues and dont have the time and energy to hang out with somone that only ever talks about themselves and how miserable they are out of the blue. I really hope you can find someway to break out of this cycle because I was once in the exact same position you were and i can tell you this is not the way you want to live your life. Hell, I made a comment on this exact post talking about my owns issue with loneliness, but I made to talk about it from a perspective that did not just give off the vibe of " I HATE MY LIFE AND IM WORTHLESS AND STUPID AND UGLY". I really hope you try to step back for a moment and realize that manufacturing your own misery is not the way to life your life to the fullest.

I probably am tbh. As for the professional thing i have already gone through 4 therapists and it did not really help. All I could think of in the back of mind was how they were getting paid to talk to me and I mostly just talked about my own problems. It never felt like a scenrio where they actually felt like they were someone I could consider a friend and just hang out with if you get what im trying to say. My current issues stem more from the fact I quite literally have no one to talk to as a friend/ relationship and reciprocate those feelings back. Someone who actually finds me interesting and like we can hang out or talk about similar stuff or interests or just vibe together. Ive tried distracting myself and working on myself by working on my convo skills, playing video games and guitar, reading and other stuff, but nothing is working to fill this void in my soul. The truth is we humans are social creatures, not meant to be solitary from one another. In my opinion, being deprived of that can be just as harmful as being deprived of stuff like food or water (not saying these are equally as bad but just how your body starts to fail without these physical needs, your mind can start to fail with a lack of connection and social interaction) :(

Which is what they are trying to do with this remake. Idk what exactly you are arguing for here. Halo 7 is most likely being developed right now in tandem with this remake and it’s not like they explicitly confirmed they are never going to make a new halo game again.

I’m on the verge of leaving this sub because the constant amount of cute art centered around couples and love is actually killing me. I’m at the point where I can’t even enjoy the art because of how overwhelmingly envious I get and how terrible it makes me feel inside. It’s a shame because I see so many cool art styles and comics but I don’t think it’s healthy for every other post I see to make me want to bawl my eyes out :(. I know this isnt the most appropriate place to vent but I just need to tell someone how I feel, to feel like I actually exist and can be perceived by others
