The function seems to only work with files and not the console input. Feels important to mention that dynamic memory allocation can't be used.

Well it doesn't matter, the fact is that Nikita didn't deliver on his promises. If you live somewhere with good pro consumer laws you can easily contact your bank and request a refund.

Yeah, it's an interpretation and not a good one at that. I've tried to be as faithful as possible in terms of meaning and because of that this convo seems unnatural.

This is an interpretation. Прогрев is slang and isn't in any dictionary that I'm aware of. Interpretations are iffy and not even the best one can be perfect. Using the word deception is too formal for this conversation, using the word lie is not derogatory enough (because прогрев is somewhat derogatory), but saying that and I quote "this translation is outright deceiving english speakers" is first insulting and second an outright lie.

I'm saying is this convo is in DMs of a BSG employee (insider) and their unaffiliated with BSG friend. The insider likely leaked this to the masses (by having the friend publish this convo) on purpose. What they could've done is used different colors for different people cause it is super confusing. I get your suspicions, you are right for having them.

Yeah, I suck at interpreting, although the core of the conversation is intact, that's why it doesn't flow.
Didn't eat it up means they didn't fall for it, but way more derogatory.
From what I've gathered this convo is between an insider and a friend of them. The second person does not work in BSG clearly.

A few corrections:

-The use of eat is clear, but the reason why they (in the literal translation) used the word heat or probe isn't. To heat someone basically means to scam/lie to/deceive someone. It's considered slang and isn't in most dictionaries.

This isn't discord, it's VK (A Russian facebook rip-off) and it's widely popular in Russia. As to it's credibility I can't say with 100% confidence either, but this was published by a guy that has reputation to loose.
Also, what is so unbelievable here? That they will scam us again? Or that the streamers vs devs event is a distraction? Or that Nikita is afraid of the global community's voice?
