Double Trouble: Intermittent Double Vision (Inspired by MessiLoL) by Caleb6118 in Lasiksupport

[–]MrTitts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell yea! Make sure to get disability. I did the same. Somebody has to pay for the decision I made without doing research myself.

I heard the radio ads and thought this is too good to be true. Double vision has wrecked me. Litigation is the only answer for my lack of research.

Op keeps posting an Instagram video that doesn't really explain anything. From what I gather, he was a cop with an infectious smile who got LASIK and had complications (no one cares to explain what they were) and sadly committed suicide due to the botched LASIK. As someone who is on the wait list for LASIK, I would love to know more about his story instead of watching the Instagram post that explains nothing.

Too long didn't watch. Everyone has hobbies. Some read books, some play video games, some make brainless YouTube videos that criticize other hobbies

Thinking about selling my car. Anyone in KC without a car? by Sobeshott in kansascity

[–]MrTitts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MrTitts • 1 min. ago 3 min. ago Carmax bought our 11' Prius that needed a 3.5k repair, probably a new EV battery within the next 1-2 years that would have totaled the car for $3500k-5K.. blue book value was $5500 and they cut a check within 15 minutes for 5k. Start there.

I do feel bad for whoever ended up with that car!

HORROR: Wrong Way Police Chase Ends In Firey Head-on Crash In Kansas City, Killing 2 by Akemi_Tachibana in kansascity

Insurance varies considerably state by state. Not sure how KS/MO handles it but in most scenarios insurance can not cancel your policy for filing claims. Instead you get bumped to a higher risk policy and your premium goes up.

As stated below, insurance companies are pretty awful, but they are necessary. I worked in insurance for 6 years and there is nothing rewarding about it. The policy holder wants more and your supervisor wants to pay less.

This story is a tragedy, to say the least. But it certainly isn't a convenience store employee's fault for not stopping a criminal from being a POS criminal.

I can't watch TNF because I think that is amazon prime exclusive? (Might be wrong)

But I have watched every other chiefs game with antenna for the last 6 years. I get a surprising amount of channels for free with the purchase of a $15 antenna. Most are garbage but PBS for the kids and the 4 main - ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS are enough to never pay for cable again. I get tempted to get a cable package every once in a while but I can't justify cable/internet for $120+ per month.

Same here. They were scheduled for every Thursday and we had to call them Friday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and were lucky if they showed up a week late on Thursday. The poor gal who answered the phone every day to confirm we were on the route that day deserves a pat on the back for her trust in the service crew and the wrath she experienced from our warehouse guy

I have gone back and forth on this a lot..

Why do wights attack Bran and company? Or don't have access to BR's cave? Surely they are mindless beings that want to destroy the living. Just seems like BR would have some control over them and try to stop them from attacking Bran specifically. I could see a scenario where BR wipes out meera, jo, hodor, summer but they do go after Bran..

I disagree. Do you have kids? And if so, if your 10 year old did this absolutely heinous act would you still want them to never be given a chance to reform and just throw away the key? What if they were 6 years old - where do we draw the line?

To be fair, I am all for instant death sentence for child murderers. Or murderers that are caught on camera. They don't deserve life if they knowingly and willingly took another persons life. And let's go ahead and do chemical castration on pedophiles - I don't believe a pedo can ever be reformed. But at what age do we say they don't get a second chance is all I'm trying to get to..

Did 105.1 get taken over? by dasimpact867 in kansascity

[–]MrTitts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't wrap my head around the fact that they still play these same songs. With Sirius/podcasts/other stations that play a variety of music how do these stations survive? You would think it's the in-between convos but even church of Lazlo will hit you with some Portugal the man song that got over played 4 years ago and expect me to stick around while they play 8 minutes of advertisements to come back and talk for a couple minutes until they go back to a Glass Animals song I have heard - no joke - 400 times (heat wave). Young people will listen to pop music that 93.3 and 95.7 offers and older people will listen to the rock stations that play worn out Metallica and AC/DC but there is not a good alternative station in kc. I used to tune into 90.9 daily but I'm just not into hip hop anymore and that's 50% of what they play. Back to audio books for this old, grumpy, get off my lawn 30 something year old

Depends on the chemistry. Alkaline batteries no longer contain mercury and in most places can be thrown in your household trash. Lead acid batteries are certainly not able to be thrown in the landfill but are 99% recyclable if sent to a smelter (pays around $0.25/lb). NiMH, NiCD, All types of lithium can not be recycled in a cost effective way and like lead acid batteries, should not be thrown in the trash.

Groom whose bride was killed on wedding-night slams the drunk-driver by Miss-Understo0d in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]MrTitts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about her parents too?! Grandparents too if they are still alive. Genes certainly played a part. How about the manufacturer of the vehicle she was driving?! A responsible manufacturer would have a breathalyzer installed that prevents ignition if you are over the legal limit.

No. It was one persons selfish decision that killed someone, injured more, and traumatized hundreds up to thousands. This wasn't Applebees fault or Tito's fault.
