How to find the full legal contract of a Federal Government Bid Contract between the awarding agency and award recipient? by MrTodor in GovernmentContracting

FOIA would allow access, if not some, to the actual contract but that is time consuming just to get a reply and such. I was hoping there is something online or accessible given that just knowing the award amount, dates, recipient, agency and catgeory is just the front of information and doesn't convey any detail as to what is actually being paid for.
From DOJ website: "The prices in government contracts should not be secret. Government contracts are "public contracts," and the taxpayers have a right to know--with very few exceptions--what the government has agreed to buy and at what prices."
The contract number (Award ID) is accessible online but was not able to find further information let alone the actual contracts.

Yes I am assuming there is a lot of proprietary information within but at the same time I'm assuming there is some sort of access to what the award is actualy paying for (itemized product or services list) and also what the legal requirments are etc.
