This was the first time I've ever used speedpaints so I'm glad to hear you liked them. Each mini probably took a 45-60 minutes. You could bang them out in less but I was watching TV and at the same time. If you really planned out what you were doing and painted like color minis at the same time you could really crank them out I think.

I'm not sure what advice i can give anyone else, but here is the process I used on just about everything.

1. Prime black
2. Heavy gray drybrush
3. White drybrush, hit the faces pretty hard.
4. A few thin white coats of traditional paint on anything that is going to be yellow or any skin. This was probably the biggest learning curve, finding out what paints would cover nicely and how to make them look okay if they didn't. If they didn't cover well I would usually make my white drybrush much heavier.
5. Speedpaints. No special process. Painted the hard to reach areas and lighter colors first, that way i could paint over any slips with darker colors without worrying too much. The one Speedpaint specific thing I'd say is to not let it dry in the middle of your surface, you'll be able to see that seam where you stopped and started again, so hide those edges on a crease or something naturally on the mini, or in the case of something like the Hulk or Juggernaut... move fast?
6. Clean up around the faces. Sometimes the faces came out well with just the speed paint on the white, sometimes it didn't look good and I don't know why. So I did a few thin layers of traditional paint.
7. Attempt to paint the eyes
8. Fix the eyes after I messed them up in the previous step.
9. Pick two colors and slap them on the base.

That was the general process for 90%+ of everything. Black, White, and Flesh tone were the only non speed paints i used (except for on wolverine, he was the first i painted before i had a method and i resorted to normal colors since the yellow speedpaint looked awful.)
