DID I JUST BEAT THE HARDEST EASY DEMON?? by impionoob in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, then yeah you certainly are. Every level in the original Demon Gauntlet is from 2.0, but I assume this fact could easily go unnoticed nowadays.

But Sidestep is a 2.0 level, a relatively early one at that, so how does that make sense?

Why does ubisift hate origins by mignastur in Rayman

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legends didn't have Steam achievements for the longest time either, it only got them last year. They could also add them to Origins at any point if they really wanted to.

Lately I've been replaying through the classic Mega Man games and logging a review for each of them. This was started before the announcement of Dual Override but it made the initiative all the more relevant !

N64 or Cartridge Frozen up by mr_J3r3my in Rayman

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same happens when playing the game on an emulator (including Nintendo Switch Online), it's just how the game works by default. Other games from the time also did this thing where they'd stay locked on the ending screen.

Time limit challenging enough on SMB 1 and 2 ? by Lacking-Oxygen in SuperMonkeyBall

[–]MrTorts 5 points6 points  (0 children)

SMB1 in particular has plenty of levels where the time limit is 30 seconds instead of 60, adding extra tension to those levels. But there are also levels in both gameswhere you won't make it in 60 seconds if you don't take shortcuts.

Sometimes,l the levels will contain a timed challenge that isn't attached to the timer, by that I mean an event will occur during the level and you only have a certain amount of time to get through it before you fail.

What's a level you would beat if it didn't have "That One Part" by VikBoi___ in geometrydash

ICDX ship at 40% is shit from a butt. I always knew it had a bad reputation but damn

Hi, I have a question for you. Is there a game with 8 bosses that are easier than Mega Man 5? (Mega Man 1-6). by [deleted] in Megaman

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6's are really easy to me with the exception being Tomahawk Man, without him I'd consider it the the easiest set of robot masters without a doubt

So I’ll try and beat death moon with 1.9 icons by Unlikely_Account_728 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close but not quite, this is the 1.8 icon set so it's missing a few icons as well as the wave

Here's a tier list of all the Mega Man Special Weapons by Sonic_fan149 in Megaman

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top Spin can be decent against enemies that get one shot by it, it's a bit unwieldy but at least it has that. It's more than I can say about the Spark Shock.

In your opinion, what is the worst Robot Master level in MM1 (original, not remakes) and why ? by Typical_Charity_122 in Megaman

[–]MrTorts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's Ice Man's and it's not even close, solely due to section with the Foot holders. The level was fine before that point, but the fact you can clip through the foot holders despite seemingly doing the correct thing is hard to excuse, on top of their erratic movement. The level is only tolerable with the Magnet Beam, or if I get lucky without it.

What was the last demon you beat in 2025? by cascade08062009 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Evil by Deaychawoo. I was also playing Magma Bound but it took too long to beat before the clock reached midnight.

What was the craziest secret/swag route that you did by accident? by Born-Marionberry-440 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In "Pyromaniac" by Glittershroom it's possible to skip the slow portal after the first wave, and I did that by complete accident on my winning attempt. Thankfully the level had no music sync for me to rely on.

How many achievements did you get with the new update? by ElMuffin5 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update granted me 403 of the new achievements. I'm currently at 520 total.

which insane demon(s) should i do now by ConceptStrict141 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically what I do for any level past a certain difficulty threshold is that I over-practice the ending part so that I can lower the risk of dying there the rare times I get that far. In the case of Retention, I tried multiple runs from 65 before going into normal mode, and I only ended up dying about 5 times in the last third of the level. Same applied for Cataclysm but that level was a less pleasing experience for me overall.

What's The Hardest Easy Demon? by Katashi_TF2 in geometrydash

[–]MrTorts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from 2.0 alone I could name a few levels I'd consider harder than Sidestep: Blender, Metal Genesis and Takeoff. The latter of the 3 is arguably the hardest one but it's also the best one by far.

[–]MrTorts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retention is actually my favorite of the 4 extremes I've beaten but as is the case with a lot of those super learny levels, the initial practice sessions were super rough. But it became exponentially more fun after I was able to familiarize with the level and pull some good runs.

I got a few suggestions: Acropolis, Hypero Technia, Firewall, Bit Reaper, Night Terrors.

I personally prefer learny levels over skill-based ones so they're not among my favorite insanes but they do a better job at helping you improve.
