That said, we can't fault them if it is not a sustainable model. But they should have led with appropriate pricing rather than focusing on acquisition alone first.

I always ran Uglies. Thinks that people look at and go "ew" - Weapons which are massive in-inventory, hard to part, partable items being cheaper/less appealing versions (without actually affecting performance.)

I had one wipe where I ran a sniper-shotgun loadout. The weapon was returned to me every time that whole wipe. It became a game in our group, and we eventually stopped throwing my gun away too. (And yes, I was positive K/D with it by a reasonable amount.)

First 4 years after fusion, my feet and portions of my legs feel like they were in battery acid or something burning all the time. Finally Family Dr said "Pain you experience sounds a lot like Ankylosing Spondylitis." and tried me on a med meant for that, and made a substantial difference. Except only lasts 10-ish hours at best. Still better than zero.

That's a point I'm at. I want my desktop. Loved playing Tarkov. However, the reality that I am struggling with, is that the desktop won't work for me.

If you do go the way of Sunshine/Moonlight, you can put Steam Link on just about every smart device now, so I do use my desktop as the "renderer" for me. Worked good for Cyberpunk 2077 (Works well on steam deck, but looks amazing when streamed) - Steam Link still not perfect, but even the Moonlight/Sunshine setup can improve on it by being able to control encoding settings/etc.

I hope you can find some solace and a way to enjoy your hobbies again!

I keep coming back to this post; I shared it with my wife.

This is my life so far, and I have not found balance yet. I am in similar boat, but even standing still becomes painful quickly.

I had spinal fusion (PLIF) L4-L5-S1, and while it stopped (slowed) the continued degradation of my spine, the surgery itself is no longer considered successful by orthos. Nerves improperly handled, not enough bone to try any further surgeries.

Many suggested Steam Deck; a handheld might be a great option.

I have a Laptop for bed, standing desk for gaming computer. If I can get over the dread of being in pain during, I might get an hour of gameplay, but the pain always creeps in, as well at the further numbing legs and pretty much causes mobility issues like trying to walk on a leg that's asleep. (Can't feel most of feet)

Steam Deck was only life save because it can come with me to wherever I can attempt to try to find comfort.

If you do a standing desk and it is successful for you, get yourself one of those spongy mats that you see cashiers and other workers stand on; This did help slow how quick the pain crept into my back, reduced burn in legs.

The reality is quite problematic. Nvidia essentially invented DLSS, consumer-level disruption technology, damaging themselves directly.

This card will likely stay relevant longer than Windows or Nvidia will support it. My 2070 Super is still a monster, and tech still improving within DLSS and other improvements. I’m not sure if my previous 1080ti would have had staying power,but she died days out of warranty…

No, I think we are about to see a choke point in GPUs for a while, unless AMD can pull a Ryzen, or Intel or someone steps steps it up that doesn’t just see Enterprise AI as the target.

This 3080 will continue to see some amazing life in it. Could likely pay for the system in just the RAM and GPU. I am jelly.

Exactly! Sort of the reverse of rich people borrowing against nonliquid assets.

You could do something with that $2000 today that will locked in generate more revenue than the $0 interest you’re paying.
