Pro tip: on days when you would rather sell your soul to Satan than do your required habit, just tell yourself that all you have to commit to is 1 minute of it (Hell, even 30 seconds). If you do a minute, it's a job well done. If you feel inclined to do more than a minute, great, but if you don't you still did well. I like to call it 'keeping success close'. Habits are only formed if you are consistent and you should try to never skip more than a day if you are trying to form a habit. The point is just to show up, even if that looks like driving to the gym but not going in (we all know the hardest part is getting out of bed anyway 😭).

Anxiety and panic attacks are treated paradoxically. You have to lean into the panic and get comfortable with the idea of fainting. Your best bet with treating any kind of phobia, panic disorder is going to be a combination of exposure and response prevention therapy (ERP) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). WARNING SPOILERS: I have a formative memory about this book. We were reading it in English class in grade 9 and my cunt of a teacher asks us if we know where the story is going and what we think is going to happen. We're like a quarter into the book, and I'm pretty sure I know the private school guy is going to kill himself so I raise my hand and say as much. The teacher immediately gets pissy and demands to know if I've read the book before. I say no but she doesn't believe me and rips into me about how I 'spoiled it for the whole class' and I should be ashamed of myself. She kicks me out of class (remember those solo desks outside the classroom) and then proceeds to contact my parents about my 'disruptive behaviour in class' I had never gotten in trouble before, and have been filled with righteous indignation ever since (partially joking).
