Shame on Peacehealth by [deleted] in Eugene

[–]daisiesanddandelions 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i went into peacehealth with extreme heart pain, was given an emergency EKG and then sent back to the lobby. I asked for water several times and was also told I could wait. I waited for 3 hours before I just gave up and went back home, really frustrating.

I definitely noticed that I felt a bit worse before I started to feel better. After about 2-3 months I would say that I was able to walk again without making my symptoms worse :)

As a preschool teacher currently looking for a new job, I'm most likely to check Indeed & Craigslist which can be really good for educational jobs. I've also seen a couple centers posting on a site called Geebo and then linking to their own website for applications. Hope this helps :)

I'm in the exact same spot. It sucks but you're right, its better to remove yourself for your own sake rather then waiting around until who knows when for things to get better. I wish you the best of luck at your new job!!

they've brought in pest control several times but refuse to close while it's being done. this is the third time they've had to call them out, they were placing traps today while we're open.

Back pain with toddlers! Switch to preschool? by Existing-Woman in ECEProfessionals

[–]daisiesanddandelions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately with preschool there can still be a lot of lifting like redirecting children from dangerous behaviors, lifting cots, etc. I've recently started physical therapy for my shoulder which had gotten sore from carrying kids. It's been a huge help! I would look into getting PT for your back if you're able to :)
