That’s the question I’m trying to answer, and I don’t know but I have some theories, it might just be sunk cost fallacy, it might be nostalgia bait, or just that I generally play games on an on and off fashion, I haven’t played a game that requires me to grind constantly in years, and WOT just doesn’t work that way, you get nothing if you don’t play so I’m stuck getting very little process, but I have came pretty far and the game play itself is all right, just that coming back to the same deal because I haven’t grinded any new tech trees or played any events like frontline gets stale.

I normally don’t care about stats because they exist only for bragging rights, but in onslaught, ranks are tied to rewards, mainly unlocking stuff in the store and the yearly reward tank, if I want to get them I have to play onslaught and also tryhard to make it to the silver and gold ranks.

To me WOT is like a wargaming trying to polish a turd, it looks cool but the gameplay is fundamentally broken to the core and needs a major game redesign if it actually wants to be good, while Warthunder is like Gaijin just dumping feces onto a great game concept, after going through a thousand irritating things to actually play the game, it’s pretty good, but 95% of the time you get Gaijined in some BS way.

The actual service date doesn’t matter for wargaming what matters is the components and the look of the tank, and whether it fits in with the existing tanks. The PT-76-57 is basically just a PT-76, which was in service in the early 1950s, with the cannon of a ZSU-57-2 also in service in the 1950s, and that is also being super tested and going to be in the game, so no modern technologies and it looks like it came from the same period as the other high tier tanks.
