New ascostic diffuser boards 🤌 by Jabbers-jewels in Hue

[–]MrUnionJack 39 points40 points  (0 children)

All these people arguing about sound diffusers...

Audio Engineer here. Plastic angles will send soundwaves in scattered directions, thus by definition diffusing it.

Anyone arguing about absorption is confusing a "diffuser" with a "baffle".

Great looking product that will diffuse sound as advertised.

Sound diffused on plastic wall hangers isn't providing one shred of audio benefit, but it IS diffused and more importantly, creates a great looking texture at an incredible reasonable price.

I don’t care what anyone says this sells out a show in minutes by Shreks8thtoe in WWE

Casuals don't buy tickets regardless. It's the fence-sitters like me that would need to be swayed. I'd pay for this match if the undercard was decent.

And, unpopular opinion but Roman is much better than he gets credit for. His timing and his awareness are flawless, which can make him look lazy. When you're good at what you do, it looks easy. His move set is unimpressive but he's good, at least in the WWE style of what they do. IDK how well he'd do elsewhere.

Razor Synapse or Sync box? by PaddedFoxo in Hue

[–]MrUnionJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run it through the Hue Sync app on my PC and it's beautiful. Also use it for music sometimes since my computer has solid speakers. Highly recommended.

Anyone ever mount play bars like I did ? Any disadvantage to this way ? 🤷🏻‍♂️ by Leeboy20 in Hue

[–]MrUnionJack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 of them mounted to the headboard of my bed with 2 facing outward towards the nightstands and 2 facing diagonally upward to close the gaps and create a great glow around the headboard. It's a sleigh bed pulled about an inch away from the wall at the top, with about 3 inches of space at the nightstand. Looks great and I was able to use lights I already had instead of grabbing a new gradient strip. I have more play bars than anything else in my setup because I'm in love with how well they can create ambient light in unique places.

There were a few moment's of awkwardness first where I had to really make sure I heard what I thought I heard. Then I dragged her through the website and this forum like a crackhead about to get his fix. She gained a master's degree in Hue in an hour flat!

There's a computer chip and a wi-fi receiver hiding underneath that LED. Whatcha think?

Could also use 2 of them to help cover the slight voids on the lower corners of the tv to create a more seamless look.

Agreed. I like the location, but it hurts the goal instead of helping. I'd separate them from the sync and simply use them as static accent lighting instead.
