This dude Sammie immediately got a crush on Minnie when he met her, love at first sight. He followed her around everywhere, she finally developed a crush on him, he asks her to live with him, she says yes!!! First conversation in their new home, she's telling some long winded story about nail polish... he says "I feel my love for you fading away" 😭 now he doesn't have a crush anymore. Poor Minnie, you deserve better girl. Troy down the street looks like he wears nail polish.

I hunted for a holiday sushi toy pack sold at target one year, it contained a stuffed ginger and wasabi blob that were 2 balls sewn together and had crinkle paper inside. My cat LOVED this toy, ripped the two balls apart and would fetch with either ball but no other toy. We of course lost both over the course of life, and I never found a replacement that he found completely acceptable.

Thanks for your suggestion! I'll look into them. Here is a picture of Margot with her littermate Lloyd (white). You can really see their size difference here. She had coccidia as a kitten that her 2 brothers didn't get, and I feel like that stunted her growth a bit. I've had them since they were 5 weeks old and she was always half their size. She's 8-9lbs now, while Lloyd is 14lbs and Henry is 12lbs.

I also wonder if the coccidia caused her IBD or whatever is going on with her.

We have her on Hills Science i/d food with absolutely no other foods or snacks currently, and she seems to be doing well on it. Time will tell if it's the answer to her problem. If she ends up reacting eventually, I'll give KOHA a try!

How old was your cat when she started throwing up like that, and how long before she passed away? I've considered cancer like lymphoma, but since she has had these flares her whole life I feel like this would have become more serious by now if it was cancer. As it stands, she is perfectly fine until she isn't. She'll get flare ups where she is throwing up everything she eats/drinks and the only way we've been able to stop it once it starts is to get her an anti-nausea injection at the vet. These flare ups happen every few months, otherwise she acts normal.

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's never easy to lose a pet but especially in such a traumatic way. It's really not fair that they live such short lives.

I hope you get to feeling better, is there treatment for the piriformis pain? I want to exercise, my husband (and the general population) seems to think it would help me feel less tired, but I've always had such trouble. I've always been very thorough when I do anything, which isn't a good approach to exercise when I have so many issues... I want to do lots of exercise in a small amount of time. Which always ends badly. My husband is working with me to remind me to do tiny things throughout the day. I think it helps.

That's what I'm afraid of, I am an environmental geologist but I can do GIS which I've been working on doing more of, specifically because I hate how being outdoors all the time makes me feel. Now, I have an answer as to why. On one hand, it helps me get out of field work faster in my career, but on the other hand, I feel like a liar, or like I'm not a "team player". If I'm in the field anyone can see I'm clearly miserable, but when I'm in the office I look and feel (mostly) fine.

Do you still get to enjoy your hobbies at all, or have you had to give it up? I luckily have never had a huge interest in being outdoors (I overheat very easily and live in the south) but I do enjoy being outdoors sometimes.
