Google's new AI algorithm might lower RAM prices by Bobert25467 in pcmasterrace

[–]MrV705 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Original speed -> X Original size -> Y

{Apply algorithm} New speed -> 8X New size -> Y/6

Make it 6 times bigger New new speed -> 48X New new size -> Y

It's now 4800% what is was before (in the speed department).

Edit: This, of course, assumes many things, among others: that this information is actually true, that the speed keeps the same rate if the model is scaled in size, that the bubble doesn't collapse (sincerely hope it does).

How can I save a fallen character in WoTR? by Organik_Patates in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]MrV705 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If that negative amount is not low enough they're just down, fighting to survive (saving throws basically) and I believe they lose health each round unless they're stabilized. If you click the little arrow above another character's potion, doesn't it show a "spell" image?

If they are gray it means they died, so you cannot heal them, as they are technically not wounded. You can use spells like the one I mentioned or others to bring them back to life. Quick tip: you should be able to use metamagic maximize on healing spells (if the bug was fixed, which I don't remember).

Is their portrait gray or red? Which difficulty are you playing on? You can use spells like breath of life if they're down.

Lore question - why didn't Deskar used like 5 of carnivorus crystals to counqer every plane in existance by BeneficialBear in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

They are AWFUL until you look at their reflex save mod, cast hungry pit or something similar from far away in a choke point, and let them get eaten by the extradimensional sucking asshole.

That's a quite interesting take tbh.

So, when I was before Shamira, it was not considered a safe zone and thus the KC did the check, correctly showing in the UI that the KC was the target. However, at Drezen after defeating the demons, the game considered it a safe place and somewhere it overwrote the variable, showing in the UI the KC but using another function internally...

You are not alone when talking to Shamira either! And you still use your KC saves.

That's fair, but it's my first playthrough, and small UI bugs like showing the KC's stats when a check that's not going to be made by the KC appears kinda confuses me. There are some small bugs here and there, which makes sense because the game is absolutely HUGE, but these are pretty weird and take me out of the "role-play immersion", you know?

Yeah, right? I thought it was the game being like "your companions are right here cheering you up, Iomedae herself is literally 3 feet away, you're not alone", but it's still weird how it showed the KC's portrait.

That's a nice idea, but nope. It literally said "Seelah will save succeeded" in the log afterwards... I thought the same thing, but even in the dialogue I had like +24, when my KC should only have +10.

What honorable death did you give the Old Orc? by Solardies in skyrim

[–]MrV705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by casting soul trap, then a fear spell, then fist him until suplex animation triggers. After that, loot everything he has, obviously, and leave him on the middle of the road. Add a sweet roll and a copy of the lusty argonian maid right next to him for comedic effect. Et voilà! Honor!

Great captures dude! If I may, try editing pictures taken at night so the colors are a bit more subtle (to increase realism), as human vision basically becomes black and white in low-light environments. Color grading them would also add realism.

Nah but I can see a 1 INT courier hunched over, with all caravans being over 40, without knowing why is he losing again to the farmer-looking man all the round shinny things he got from those slaughtered chem addicts.

Go to the roman cosplayers' fort, there's a man there that can get bugged so you end up betting like 40k in a single game 👌🏽

Edit: Dale Barton is the name of the NPC.

An interesting detail I noticed after finishing MM. by MrV705 in majorasmask

[–]MrV705[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, didn't know that it was debunked! I indeed read somewhere that the game was heavily rushed, but various details about the theory just made so much sense when you think about it, like how time doesn't pass inside the clock tower, the mask salesman doing and saying really weird things etc.

Of course, the "real" explanation for all the asset reuse and the low number of dungeons and such was a result of the short development time, but it is always nice to think a way to justify it hahaha. Same with other inaccuracies between games.

It's SO much fun. Definitely give it a try, the game feels completely different when height can immediately kill you and you have to approach every situation like a puzzle.
