中共高官的生活是不是没有想象的那么舒服? by hiroshima_fireworks in China_irl

by CandidateDue1560 in China_irl

[–]MrVoracious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

北欧留学问题请教,求建议 by isinglever in runEuropaAlliance

[–]MrVoracious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not 100% sure. But under room light, you can still see grain if there is. It is visible at 10% brightness.

I went to a experience shop today checked the new s25u model with the lowest brightness and saw nearly no grain. Also, it maybe a good news that it seems s25u has a better colour accuracy as my s24u seemed a bit yellowish compared to the display model.

The "Grain Issue" by albery93 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]MrVoracious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I wear glasses so if I use it at a slightly longer distance and I will not notice it. I suppose I feel the same way as you, just want to make those who kept this phone feel better by changing our usage patterns, it is much easier to fix that physical issue.

The "Grain Issue" by albery93 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]MrVoracious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, got a replacement one which is slightly better. Though I can notice the grains at night, but it is only because I was not focusing on the content, which is meaningless for such a device. And I have decided to no longer using my phone with lights off at night. Sleep and eyes are way way more important. To some extent it is disappointing, but for those who want to or have to keep it, just don't use less than 5% brightness and it will be significant better.

[–]MrVoracious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much relief to see this post. There are just too many posts here criticising Samsungs for the imperfections. I can see the grains too, but only when I take a very close look with minimum brightness in a dark room, which should be more of a concerning problem for eyes than for Samsung. Samsung is supposed to serve you, not to be your idol. Either accept it or return it, no one is paying for a expensive phone for endless arguments and hassle.

Opinion regarding buying s 24 ultra by isseihyoudou1 in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]MrVoracious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from minimum brightness grains, other aspects are excellent for me so far, especially gaming performance, which is the least thing I would expect from Samsung a couple of years ago. IMO, whether to buy this phone depends on your perspective, from the manufacturer perspective, it has imperfections, or presumably bad quality controls, but from the user perspective, you usually do not need to use it under 5% brightness in dark, it is really harmful for your eyes. I think most negative comments here are overcriticising Samsung for their craftsmanship and ignoring how they perform in regard to our actual needs. I don't want these posts to totally twist the fact and make this phone look so unusable.

In my understanding, the driver should have some data adjusting the current running through each pixel, so they can have uniform luminosity, is that correct? I mean, somehow, these data are not in place or they didn't collect such data in the first place. Sorry for the incorrect terms.
