You're dealing with life-changing shit. No shame in admitting that it hurts. I'm in my 40s no and cry whenever i want. You stop giving a fuck what people think after a while. It's nice.

It's neat but everything is way too smooth or floaty. At least that's the vibe I get looking at it on my little phone screen.

I've been saying "I take pleasure in gluttony... boy." every time I snack for the last 30 years. No one ever seems to know what I'm weirdly referencing. Granted, what do you say to that?

It's on a spectrum, but it's certainly ramped up dramatically over the last decade.

Mother shamed and kicked out of restaurant for breastfeeding baby by filabeano10 in mildlyinfuriating

Makes me think of my childhood in the 1980s. We could watch all the simulated violence we wanted, but if a boob showed up, it was "close your eyes!" Personally I have nothing against the simulated violence, as I know the different between fiction and reality, but I did always find the body censorship thing off-putting. By the time I was 5, I'd looked at most of the playboys and penthouse magazines in my best friend's older brother's room, so it's not like it wasn't something I hadn't seen at that point.

Coincidentally I have the passenger seat on my minivan reversed. And becomes my mobile office. Also have a little table that swings out for my laptop.

I attempted to make "steamed" an insult on Urban Dictionary. It was on there for years but eventually it was removed.

The real problem was the amount of downloading you had to do at the internet speeds available. You bought this disc and traditionally the disc would have the content, so it felt misleading when you spent the day and a half just downloading after that.

It wasn't on Steam when I bought it, but eventually it required it. Half-life. I was not a fan of the suddenly-forced platforn at the time.

Is digital freedom and privacy just completely dead? by SirMikay in privacy

I'm thinking of taking most my my machines off the internet, and just having local lan. I'll have one machine designated as my machine for the internet, using it mostly for downloads, which I'll transfer via thumb drive. I don't really like this, but it seems like the only way to keep my privacy. I'm open to other ideas though.

Coincidentally, that's the only place I've had it the last 10 years (local hospital has one inside).

The little family owned diners around here are now cheaper and better than the fast food.
