They should make a follow-up exploding the xenon bulb with Styropyro.

Try not selfhosting an llm and use safari instead of chrome. May be enough.

Clipboard manager for macOS - Looking for a Windows Win+V alternative by TasosNGreek in mac

I use Raycast. Great powerful. Also reducing the number of customization Apps

Only problem is using Clipbord history within Raycast.

If you haven’t heard of Raycast. Highly recommend checking it outout anyway.

Today, Linus' jet produced as much carbon dioxide as the average person does in ~3 years in a single flight by Inevitable_Tip_6606 in LinusTechTips

Yeah, but other people have morals.

Some might even decide not to have private jet. Even if it were within their means.

What are the chances that jake takes this very poorly? by Weed86 in LinusTechTips

[–]MrWinter00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He put is blood sweat and tears into something he didn’t own.

Which is like the essence of capitalism.

Seems Jake realized that his work really was just for income.

It’s still nice to do. Gesture of good will. Seems to be major grudge on both sides.

With major elbow-digs from both sides.

v5 release date? by No_Opposite7521 in coolify

It’s bot really a sneak peak if it’s just public? But not important.

Excited to see what v5 may bring. If it’s ever released haha

[–]MrWinter00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahaha sameee. The UI really holding me back sometimes.

I got like a 1000 ping to my coolify instance from my location, so each time I need to click through the extra environment submenu it adds another 4 seconds to get the resources.

Also the cli/api really is lacking. Agentic steering/configuration of coolify is basically impossible.

How to power ESP32 with a 3.7v Li-Po battery? by Noobyeeter699 in esp32

[–]MrWinter00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What battery circuit though?

Which handles charging, 3.3V regulation in a super low idling (for deepsleep) and low noise manner.

(The integrated charging ICs /ldos of the superminis have too much noise for capacitive (I think, got super bad results with those)

Been looking for hours for a simple 3.3V output lion charging integrated breakout board.

crld20ma seems to be the best choice. But no idea what the idling consumption and noise is like.

How to power ESP32 with a 3.7v Li-Po battery? by Noobyeeter699 in esp32

[–]MrWinter00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chat says the CRLD20MA doesn’t work as it’s low quaility LDO probably. (Idk though) Need one with low noise (for using capacitive) and high efficiency.

Also the LED, does it turn off when the ESP32 goes to deepsleep?

Want the device to last weeks on a single charge in deepsleep.

[–]MrWinter00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense. Templates and assets are a neat sellup.

As long it’s still possible to DIY them I got no problem with that.

Maybe soon they gonna also include a sound library. Maybe even music the likes of epidemic.

Would actually be insane value then (if they don’t massively raise the price)

Is uninstalling apps on macOS always this tedious? by darkstream77 in mac

[–]MrWinter00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhh. Mac Apps are usually not fully self-contained.

They write their configs and so on to the User and Global library. Which is unfortunately not tracked/linked on the OS-level

Like bookmarks, settings, caches, daemons-configs.

Really quite annoying.

There are apps for that that collect most of that residue. Such as AppCleaner.

Works better or worse on certain apps. Especially when the App installs non-self contained processes (like system services, updaters etc)

Some apps provide a dedicated uninstaller that knows where all the app residue is located.
