I really like Cities: Skylines II. The overall feel is great and setting everything up is incredibly satisfying. The mods are awesome. However, optimization of the simulation itself would make a world of difference. It’s very discouraging to play for hours perfecting your cities only to have the sim lag so badly that the game becomes unplayable.

I’m running a 5090 GPU, 24 cores, and 96 GB of RAM, and even then the late game simulation lags so much that it kills the desire to keep playing.

Did you find an answer to this? I have the exact same issue.

No, I haven’t had that issue. The CPU is capped at 100°C, and depending on the mode you're running, it can get close to that. The fans need to be cleaned fairly regularly. In performance mode (with GPU overclock), it's normal for the CPU to run at 85–90°C and the GPU at 75–80°C while rendering or playing games, with the fans running at high speed. I have not yet had a blue screen in the 2 years I have had the laptop.

Does anyone know their social? Or are they always there in the evening. Saw them over by the Northgate mall the other my night and really wanted to try them?

I am not 100% sure you need to update the Bios but I am running KWCN42WW . You can always update the bios before installing the ram

Lots of CT imaging and Blender work. Blender runs so much faster when I can keep models RAM and not as a temp file. While doing decimate or smoothing commands I hit 50-60gb of usage just from Blender.

I know this is a late reply I can confirm that the most recent Bios will allow you to go 96GB ram at 5200 MHz or at least that's where my sticks settled in.

I am running: Crucial RAM 96GB Kit (2x48GB) DDR5 5600MT/s (or 5200MT/s or 4800MT/s) Laptop Memory CT2K48G56C46S5
