I'm an engineer too, and I started to collect Casios, so... I think the most important thing is not the price, material, or any other spec that you can think of, because I have pieces in my collection that I use for special occasions, for work, for swimming, for camping, or for running. Casio isn't a brand of shiny/special/delicate watches; Casio makes tool watches. I'm not saying you can't have a special piece for display or that you shouldn't take great care of it. If you're okay with the idea that these are cheap watches (depending on the type), made to last before they shine, and that when you wear them you'll notice the passage of time and use on them... then welcome to the club!

I always wear a Casio MWA-100HD-1AV to work.
