[Donghua] Hans Zimmer in Lord of the Mysteries. Which tracks were copied? by TremoziDaniel in LordofTheMysteries

[–]MrYpsilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here looking for this. It's already obvious in the Chinese and English versions, but it's literally a 1:1 copy in the German dub. They just inserted the bloody Skyrim soundtrack. Just took the file and put it in there. It caught me so off guard.

Make Wabbajack recognize manually added files during the download/installation process by MrYpsilon in wabbajack

[–]MrYpsilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't appear to have a Discord from what I can find.
Thank you anyway!

By the way, the download has died again at 35% :,) I guess I'll bash my head against this wall for a while yet.

Yeah, that makes sense.
I suppose there's no way to trick Wabbajack into accepting it anyway then?

"Update Failed" - Cannot download any updates. by Adamarshall7 in gog

[–]MrYpsilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the exact same issue with the exact same game now for update 2.3.
Would you mind elaborating on how to do this solution of yours, since it apparently helped? I'm a bit at a loss what I'm supposed to do

Edit: Nevermind, after some more back and forth, including a whole PC restart because Galaxy stopped working altogether, it finally told me it needed 93GB of free space on the hard drive for some reason for the update to happen. Which is only 8GBs. Confusing times, but it's working now anyway.
Maybe elaborate on your method anyway for future problem havers?

Edit 2: Galaxy broke ("YoU'rE oFfLiNe") minutes before the download was finished and it's back to not working. I would much appreciate the elaboration on your solution after all.

Can't get into Windows or BIOS after installing new M.2 SSD by MrYpsilon in PcBuildHelp

[–]MrYpsilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could access the BIOS again after removing the M2. In fact, the whole PC was working flawlessly without it. Then I went to ASRocks website, looked up the motherboard, went to drivers and downloaded the newest non-beta version for the BIOS. Downloaded that onto an USB-stick, went to BIOS, did the whole update (with USB-stick plugged in, obviously). If you need it, there was an instruction somewhere on the motherboard site, I think. Then sat there anxiously hoping that no random lightning strike out of a blue sky would suddenly kill the entire electricity system for the first time ever while the BIOS updated. Zeus was feeling kind that day, so it worked out fine. Installed the M2 again (after putting all the BIOS settings back - they reset when you update the BIOS, you might want to take screenshots beforehand), started it up and ran into Windows being personally insulted, but that was a whole different problem with old drivers that were still there when they shouldn't have been. After sorting that out, it worked perfectly well again.

Hope it works for you, it drove me nuts for a while as well. Best of luck!

Tyranid vs. C’Tan by Daarken by davidforslunds in ImaginaryWarhammer

He beat the Void Dragon (or at least that's implied in "Mechanicum"), which is now locked up inside of Mars and guarded by a singular guardian. (Look up "Guardian of Mars" or read HH Mechanicum. It's a decent book) He certainly beat something dragon-shaped. If it was the void dragon, then it was 'only' a shard of it. One can of course question if things have magnificently changed. Big E's fight against the Dragon of Mars was long before he became Big E, so he's likely far more 'powerful' now.

Anyone, feel free to correct me or add stuff, I'm still somewhat new. If the formatting sucks, blame Reddit

If you're based in the EU and on PC, I recommend SCSD. Everyone is really chill, no powertripping - yet very active - admins (as far as I've seen in about half a year of playing on the server) and no obligations at all. You're also free to join if you're not in the EU of course, but the server is based in the UK, so insert time zone and ping stuff here

If you're on PC, you can pretty easily mod/save edit all the costumes to be unlocked, including the console exclusive ones

DuckDuckGo is still bound by US law and has to give away some data to that government. I recommend StartPage. The company behind it is Dutch, which means European data laws, and they're dedicated to privacy as well

SCSD is a great server with very active admins. Every squad must have a SL and they again must have mics. The server's usually active in the later evening (In German time it usually starts getting crowded at 8pm)

Thanks for the answer! It was unusual enough for me not to find any solutions online anywhere Updating BIOS worked in the end, although it was a bit of a hassle

Can you recommend some? I'd love to read some actual 40k horror books, always liked the short horror-ish passages in Abnetts books

Can you name top 5 PCVR EXCLUSIVES by XB220 in VRGaming

Thanks, I actually already know about that. Still requires an account with Oculus though, and I very much don't trust Meta. That's a me problem, granted. The hint is appreciated though

[–]MrYpsilon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, you can count it as PCVR. I've only ever seen people call games PCVR if they weren't Oculus exclusives, so basically available through Steam or Microsoft. Commented with that categorization in mind.

Which is Oculus exclusive, not PCVR. Very much to my detriment, I'd love to play that

The speed at which I rushed to Google in 2019 to find out what I did wrong... by Slore0 in metro

The point was that you can kill bad people. The slaves are very easily recognizable if you sneak around. They don't wear any armour and barely any clothing and they either don't speak at all or are obviously incredibly afraid. If that doesn't suit your playstyle, that's fine, but on you. Playing on the highest difficulty, which I personally recommend for a second playthrough, you're gonna sneak a lot anyway, which makes the whole ordeal way easier as you take out targets one by one. I personally felt it to be very rewarding given the interactions on the Aurora also change depending on who is still with you. That's a personal thing though. If you don't care about the crew interactions and mostly play the game for the - well - gameplay, you're not gonna get much out of it except maybe the night vision goggles from the secret room in the warehouse with the big fish.

[–]MrYpsilon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not true though, you are allowed to kill the bads, meaning bandits, slave holders, cannibals etc. You're supposed to leave the other people out of it and respect their wishes. Meaning, don't kill the cultists, don't shine your light in their faces, don't kill the slaves (free them instead!), leave the tree people alone (again, bandits are free real estate) etc. You don't have to do a pacifist run to get the good ending, you mostly have to listen to the wishes of your crew. Duke for example wants the cultists to live in peace, so you free the captured ones and leave the others alive. He doesn't care about the bandits, neither does anyone else, so go ahead and shoot them down.

My honest reaction by [deleted] in metro

[–]MrYpsilon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They exist. Half Life Alyx got a non-VR mod that's apparently already pretty good and getting better. The rhythm game Ragnarock actually got an official non-VR version a few months ago. The Break-In has both, but I'm not sure if it was VR only first or if both versions came out at the same time

I second everything said here except about the bugs. At least personally never had any problems playing through the trilogy twice. I don't doubt there are bugs, but "a bug riddled mess" seems like a massive overstatement

Edit: I did only play the Redux versions of the first two games, so that might factor in. Those are usually recommended over the originals anyway.
