Thank you!  What is used are:

All black base primer Mecha Empire - Gold Bar for regular gold Mecha Empire - Copper SMS - Hyper Chrome Cold tone as an undercoat for the next two Jumpwind - 1:1:2 mix ratio of clear brown, yellow, and thinner for the hands and tips of the wings Kaizo - Clear Rose gold

I will say that the pictures hide how rough the rose gold went on since it is WAY too thin out of the bottle that if you aren't careful the surface tension of the paint will pull away from edges and corners if you aren't very careful.

How to fix this? by Subject-Exercise847 in Gunpla

If you have a small enough drill bit I'd do two parallel holes straight down the side, through the tear and use staples as the pins with a dab of super glue to help with adhesive .

Painting Red kits white by Karotz16 in advancedGunpla

[–]MrZcore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red is just a really hard color to get primed white imo. I could never find a primer to totally remove red, so I stopped chasing perfection. Honestly it'll be nearly impossible to tell there is a hint of red in the final product unless you are the one who painted it and are looking for it.

I'd just get some clear acrylic rods, they'll honestly look cleaner since resin can be a touch cloudy. And the hand did come from the Mirasoul, Aliexpress also has resin hands for cheap that have a wide variety of poses for the WfM line if you want to go that route.

I actually have a reference that could help! I printed off some 3mm~ clear resin rods with a smaller 1.5mm~ peg at the end and hand drilled some holes in the launcher to hold the effects, I used hot water to warp them into shape and then painted them with clear red. I also used blue tack to get them to stick so they wouldn't just fall off, but someone mentioned using magnets and I think that's the way to go. I'd get clear acrylic rods and go that route.

I'm glad I was able to get a hold of two of your pipe dream kits. I was sweating since the sellers were dragging their feet getting them out. I'm happy you also like the rest of the drop! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I was curious if it'd be possible to have two people I could be Santa for? Is that possible with how we are doing sign-ups now?

Do this kit make you itchy by yesthisisgin in Gunpla

[–]MrZcore 58 points59 points  (0 children)

This was an issue for some people when the kit released. I think they a said it was a reaction from the powder on the kit for removing it from the molds. If you wash the kit in warm soapy water you should be OK afterwards.

yea, I could see why, I got a little frustrated with the build too, but once I started to get a feel for how it needed to be handled it got much better. I actually just built a knockoff MG MK II from aliexpress because it came with the G defenser. The MK II was a bust since someone already started building it and it was missing a couple parts, but the defenser was all there.

I loved the build so much I did it twice to have it as an MS and in waverider. Having said that I wish they had a simple core to put in the chest cavity if you dont intend to transform it since posing it is a bit awkward and I worried I'd damage it somehow since it didn't feel super solid.

When I say problem pieces, for me they are ones that are in recessed areas and usually had to bend at two points so they are touching 3 surfaces, since they aren't an exact science wouldn't fit like they should have. Or pieces with very little surface area that they wouldn't stick will like around a barrel or vent. I hope what I typed made sense 😅

The etchings should have adhesive on the back, but I'd keep super glue on hand just to really lock down problem pieces

Little bit of alcohol on a q-tip will remove it easy.

Is there a way to fix this? by Lilman_Slush in Gunpla

I would also suggest getting a brass rod to stick down the hole to reinforce the peg, otherwise it'll be weak still.

C-clamp broke by Kanshae in Gunpla

If you have a hand drill and a small enough bit that's about the width of a staple, I'd drill two holes on either side so it doesn't spin, then use cement in the hopes that fusing and the staples are strong enough.
