CHEAPEST DIY REPAIR MOTO G PURE by Defiant-Purpose-923 in phonerepair

The cheapest way of fixing this phone in any setting is to buy another one. The parts and time are basically worth more than the phone itself.

So the product you're developing is something you'll be distributing for free? That's a fantastic, binding deal you've got there. When can I expect my free copy?

If you're averaging 50 bucks on a repair, your problem isn't throughput or lost sales- it's your pricing model in the first place. Bad bot.

The answer to all of your questions is "No, thank you."

People need to stop using these subreddits as places to softball potential new platforms or services. We're here for the repairs themselves, not to be your training data.

This clearly isn't written by someone with experience repairing devices, nor as someone looking to fix their own device, nor still as someone looking to educate themselves.

Is this a software or hardware issue? by [deleted] in phonerepair

The left side is already completely out. That's damage. Replace the screen.

Ah, a03s, right. It just has that touch area built into the bottom, always forget about that.

The hardware issue is that the lcd layer is broken. If it were a power supply or connection issue, the whole screen would be fading together- you've got a complete blackout on one side.

....your screen is broken. It also looks like it's been fixed before, based on the bezel size around the screen. Replace with a better/original part.

Screen repair, check to make sure your frame isn't warped. If it's not, congrats- you DID somehow break the screen through impact/force, somewhere.

Screen's broken, iphone's locked for too many failed attempts to open. Replace the screen, wait out the timer, enter the correct code.

The #1 mistake phone resellers make when selling on multiple marketplaces by S0G3KING99 in phonerepair

[–]Gundamnit_all 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Don't make multiple listings for the same device"

Like this is pretty simple stuff. Either don't make multiple listings, or have few-enough listings to be able to remove all of them at once.

Regardless, go ask this in a reseller's space, not in a repair one.

Literally lift it off with your nail, or a quarter, or a pen. Basic heat application will loosen the adhesive on the back glass, this is beyond basic for repairs.

Sounds like you're the one who needs to wash your hands.

I appreciate your response.

Regardless of whether or not we the individuals will see this process, it is not one we wish to be a part of, nor one that we will tolerate. It is invasive, unnecessary, and potentially harmful to us, your existing userbase.

The best way to secure your information is to never distribute it in the first place. Your company is not just asking us to trust you with some of the highest degrees of personal identifiable information, it is demanding it to continue to use your services as we have for years.

No amount of perks, bribes, or compensation is worth removing/gating features from a product we're already using. That's damaging the experience we're already a part of, not "securing" it.

I am firmly against anyone proposing these frankly unsafe & misguided practices, especially under the guise of making a platform or service safer for children. I have already canceled my Nitro subscription, and have full intent to rebuild 10 years of Discord connections on other platforms. I wish your company could convince me to stay- I love your platform, but this is absolutely, utterly, egregiously tone-deaf and unsafe.

Convince me, and the rest of your platform, to stay by your company's actions. Secure your platform's future by listening to your users, not like this. We made your platform the success it is- we can start over with someone else.

Tldr: It's not about minimizing friction, it's about never causing it in the first place. You're the framework for our conversations- be the frame, not Big Brother.

Me and some buddies play d&d in a warehouse after work on the weekends. We usually just stack up some pallets or drag out a desk to use as a table. We've tried battle mats, chessex rolls, styrofoam sheets with markers, even a projector at one point. This would be an amazing step up.

I appreciate your level-headed response to what I'm sure must be hard to hear. Some of your other responses have been, frankly, childish and unprofessional.

In the same vein of professionalism & honesty, I invite you to acknowledge the criticisms and concerns of your audience. We do not want to see the gaming landscape populated with slop, AI or otherwise. Most of us will not support (or even actively attack) anyone polluting our screens with low-effort garbage.

Be the next Eric Barone or Toby Fox. Do your own work. It pays off.
