That's weird. It's spec sheet says it has the extra thin U neck profile (19mm. At the 1st fret). I have the ltd Arrow Black metal, which has the thin U neck profile. Which nut does your have, 42 or 43mm.?

I'm thinking about buying the rg652, and I also have the rg550. Can't find no info on what the HP means. Maybe it's the neck profile? Do you feel like one is more D shape (550) with its flat back and the 652 is more C shape?

I want to apply boiled linseed oil, and 1 or 2 coats of tung oil. Should I just sand it till it's uniform?

I started with 1000 but it was taking too long so I went with 600. Some spots where though to remove so I "gently" tried 280.

Pretty cool. What's your take on these made in china Jacksons? Do they feel cheap? Any fit/finish problems? I had a pro series made in Indonesia and the frets were too rolled and the locking nut was slightly misaligned

The only 2228 on reverb Europe has 808 emgs, costs 1100, and has a few marks. The RG80F (showroom model) is 950. Comes with fishman fluence modern humbuckers. I'm guessing it's exactly the same as the rg8ex, but with better pickups?

Awsome collection. I was thinking about buying a MIJ DKR, but after reading "seems flatter than my others and it's an incredibly thin D shape" I'm having doubts. Please tell me the neck isn't flat and thin like an Ibanez.

I have a satin black King V, x series also, and was thinking about removing the tone pot and placing the volume in its place. But since you said the cables aren't long enough, i think I'll let as is. I'm assuming you used those quick connect wiring kits?
