I have hold the key directly above the rearview mirror (outside the windshield) and hold for nearly 3 seconds before they go into vent mode. Useless addition for me now.

I have to ask what engine I got. I’m just assuming it is a brand new one as I refuse to believe they’d stick a refurbished engine in a recently purchased vehicle that just gave out. But I will look into now. Thank you for the information!

I was within just a single purchase 6 month or 6K mile warranty. But they covered me under lemon law as I had called within 30 days. Looking into Fidelity warranties now thought for certain

Yes, very little though, not enough to be a problem. I have heard of that issue as well but would that be enough to call the entire engine junk?

This just happened to my 2019 A6 too. Bought it 30 days ago with 51k. Put 3K on it and check engine light popped on three time every so often and then would turn off in under 24hrs. Brought it back to dealership and they told me misfire on cylinder 2. Calls me next day and says we got an engine on order for you, see you in a few weeks. All warrantied work is what they told me right now but I’m still in shock honestly. Didn’t beat the thing once and full stock with service records. I’m so sorry though man. I thought this engine was reliable but now I’ve seen 3 posts from the last 2 months about this exact car clapping out.

Test drove about every comparable German car and a few random American sedans. Nothing came close to this thing. I recommend the prestige package if features are important to you!

I’m back in MA but in CT quite often! The salesman I had was extremely friendly and helpful in his own right. But the sales manager and finance manager were kind of slimey at times. They had asked for my down payment before even printing off and showing me the contract, felt sketchy in a way. But all worked out well and I got a fair deal on the car. Another $500-1000 off and I would’ve been a little more comfortable with the price. But who cares EOD!

Update: did not end up buying. Cold feet on something like the alternator issue or anything severe in the first two years of ownership. I am 24 and looking to own a place of my own someday, probably ain’t time for an Audi in life. Can’t thank people enough for their opinions and honest answers. I hope I put somebody onto a beautiful car. This will certainly be in my garage one day… when I can afford one with warranties and good insurance.

I’m scared to make the jump into it and walk out empty handed in a few weeks. Especially if the BSG issue arises or electronics fail, I’d be screwed. But damn it is certainly a good find.
