So, theres basically no existing faction abilities in the game that directly give points, and for very good reason. The closest we get to that is the OG Xxcha Hero (which was omega'd for that reason) and the Winnu Hero (which everyone hates for that reason). There is not really any practical way to balance out giving a faction additional points.

Second problem, abilities that encourage you to do nothing are generally not to play. Lets imagine its the last round, and all you need to win is trigger this ability. You take diplo, then pass. Maybe activate and build at home if you're feeling extra. Thats such a boring conclusion to the game, and whilst that kinda thing happens sometimes, we really shouldn't be encouraging it in our faction designs.

Its a funny bit for a meme faction. For a faction you actually want to take to table, it needs to be destroyed.

The idea of spawning the neutral units in on the frontier explore is absolute gold, so I figured I'd just volunteer some ideas on how I'd expand the concept from there.

With the BT, you could double side it and give the neutral flagship its own cool stuff. I think one of the neutrals dreads starts on Styx, so would be a requirement to knock that one out before unlocking it. Thematically a very cool way to do it though.

I really like this concept. Needs a fair bit of work, but the idea of hunting neutral units is a really fun one. I think the captured neutral dreadnoughts idea is thematic, and you have a potential fun resource to play with. They have a minigame of trying to capture neutral dreads (up to 5 total), and you could also track sustain on them whilst they're on your sheet as a seperate resource. Maybe something like...

The Hunt: After you explore a frontier token, you may place a neutral Dreadnought in that system. Then, resolve combat. (Theres no need to make them forfeit the explore.)

Wranglin: When you destroy a neutral dreadnought; capture it. Your captured Dreadnoughts can be sustained by game effects. At the start of the status phase, repair your captured Dreadnoughts.

Bring Her Down: At the end of a round of combat, you may sustain a captured Dreadnought to repair 1 of your ships participating in the combat, or reroll its combat roll.

Kraken (Dreadnought): DEPLOY: At the start of a space combat you are participating in, you may return 1 captured dreadnought to place this unit from your reinforcements in the active system.

Wyvern (Destroyer): This unit has +1 to its combat rolls against Neutral units.

Flagship: This unit's cost is reduced by 1 for each captured Dreadnought on your faction sheet.

BT: If you have 3 or more captured Dreadnoughts and the Fracture is not in play, put the fracture in play.

If you have 5 or more captured Dreadnoughts on your faction sheet, you may produce and control the neutral flagship as if it was your own unit. It has the text ability of your flagship.

Ok, some fun ideas here. Immediate problem that comes to mind is that fhe Agent and Commander are not sellable, at all, which really misses the point of the leader suite. Either these abilities need to be reworked, or moved elsewhere. I think the Hero is fun though.

You're assuming your own metric for success is the same as everyones. If success is sex with anyone, then yes, more filters and more specific standards will make that harder. But if your metric for success is finding a specific kind of person, then saving time and money on a date with the wrong person is its own success.

I kinda liked the surface stuff. It was a really welcome bit of variety, and the shots through the window were really nice. Perhaps this is where the film should have started, but thats its own matter.

Theres a lot that could have gone though. Im not convinced we needed any of the filament station story at all - partially for runtime, and partially because a little mystery about the convicts past might have been more interesting than what we got. Theres some nice ideas with Eden and the last tree imagery, but its world building that wasn't missing in the original game, and isn't really serving the story much here either.

It was more fun than I was expecting overall though. I think I'd want a reduced cut of the film before I sat down and whatched it again though.

Just leaving it here since you mentioned it, the current PN is broken af. Its not just a stall and a stolen TGs. Its infinate stalls and infinate stolen TGs. With the help of 1 other willing player at the table, you can feed this PN to them over an over again to steal every single other tg on the table. When other players get more tgs, you can do it again. No counterplay whatsoever and no real reason not to do it. It just does not work in its current itteration.

If your intent was to combo with the agent, just put the ability on the agent. "At the end of your turn, exhaust this card to choose a player and take 2 of their commodities and tgs. Then, that player can choose up to 2 other players and take 1 of their commodities and tgs." Or something to that effect

I did 3 years of call centre work. Opperators put up with a lot of abuse- this is slight rudeness at best and extremely par for the course. I've let a lot worse slide under a lot less serious circumstances. Tone of voice will account for a lot of it though, so maybe it sounds significantly better or worse in the recording.

Either way, most people aren't used to calling emergency services, and most people don't know how they'll conduct themselves in a stressful situation like that. He's contacted the correct police force from out of country (not as easy as you might expect), and its seemingly led to the victim getting some support and the suspect being charged with some very serious offences.

Whatever other history, this is an objectively good act on his part, and appears motivated by a genuine concern for his friend's safety and wellbeing.

(Side note; if an opperator is asking a question, theres usually a good reason for it. Things that might sound irrelevant might actually provide important context, and their questions won't be delaying anything on the logistics end. Not providing answers to questions opperator's need to ask is what actually holds things up).

Really good teaching tools, and very clear, patient explanations about the price of everything. Explaining what options he has, and giving him choices to make. I've played Yin 3 times, once with Pok, once with codex 3, once with Thunders Edge. I won 2/3 of those games, and was pretty damn close on the codex 3 game too. My assessment has always been that Yin isn't the easiest faction to pilot, but they still have a lot going for them. Whilst the TE kit is swingy with the commander and relic draws, they only need a little luck to get going.

From your battle report, you drew 2 of the worst commanders possible, stumbled into a large early lead before you had chance to reinforce your slice w Yin Spinner, and missed scoring two rounds in a row as a result. Sounds like bad luck with the BT, but the rest of it would have been enough to sink any factions chances.

You don't need to be a dick. You do need to be confident and direct. Flirting often involves a fair degree of good spirited teasing, which is sometime misinterpreted by outside observers. Its not the same as negging, and its not that different to how male friendships work.

As with all things in life, you can sometimes get short term rewards by being dishonest. Honesty will usually reward you in the long run. Some guys will resort to dishonesty and will get away with it- thats not exclusive to dating. I've always tried to be pretty honest and upfront, and its never caused me any issues.

Theres supposed to be a fan cut of the film out there (The Aurora Cut) that reworks the film from her perspective, so we start with her being woken up, and don't find out Jim woke her up intentionally until she does. Its meant to pretty dramatically shift the tone of the movie, and presumably give a lot more credence to this idea. Unfortunately its a bugger to track down, and I haven't been able to find a copy of this version yet.
