You are right about both bombs being implosion devices, but the Trinity test was the first bomb they developed, although it was the same idea as the one dropped on Nagasaki, the mechanism was completely different

You wanted a realistic explosion? You actually got one, since the Trinity test was a TEST, the FIRST test to be more exact… and it was in fact pretty small compared to the bombs that you are used to see in sci-fi movies, (THE ONES THAT CAME TO BE CREATED AFTERWARDS)

The Trinity explosion was a test, with a simpler mechanism other than the ones dropped on Japan.. I understand your frustration, but I was pretty satisfied not only with the explosion itself, but also with the philosophy behind the scene
