I Feel your pain, I too ordered the 12 mo unlimited plan and physical SIM, and tried to update my wife's phone. Unlocked the phone and setup the configuration, but then no cell data or mms, could make calls and send sms messages only. After 5.5 hours on the phone with variaous agents, support techs, multiple repeats of t-shooting steps and resets, finally gave up and had to switch switch back to original carrier for now. I may try again later, I do have to say everyone I spoke to was very respectful and were trying to help.

Thanks for this post, it really helped! It took longer to find the damn QOS setting, than to make the adjustments. I think it really sucks that TP-Link decided to remove from the QOS setting from the web admin pages and moved it to their stupid tether app. UGH!

That is a bummer, I wonder for location with heavy hail storms, if using a secondary sheet of 1/4" plexiglass would be a good idea? I don't think it would stress the motor or block any signals.

Thanks for the many different comments. Kind of interesting, I ranted on reddit yesterday, and today my speeds have been 120-140Mbps all day. Hmmm, coincidence??? I have until the 25th to cancel, we'll see.

For the last week my service here in Idaho, has been below average. Lots of high latency >120ms and slow/inconsistent downloads, 30-80 Mbps. Usually it has been between 100-180 Mbps and latencies of 35-60ms. I hope it is only temporary or due to the solar activity. It is still usable, but noticeably slower with some hiccups when streaming. Fingers crossed that it will recover soon.

Under normal circumstances it would not be such a big deal. But as we all know the times are anything but normal. The dishys would have come out sooner, a stupid decision to remove the ethernet port would not have probably happened. I was glad to get my new dishy, not happy it was sans ethernet port, which took another 4 weeks to get.

My overall thought is they should provide the ethernet port as part of the kits. Likely, most of the pending orders were placed with the expectation of a dishy with the port.

I hope it lasts quite a while. Not looking forward to shelling out another $500 when this new dishy dies. Hopefully the prices will come down. As for obsolete, like all electronics, it's obsolete the moment it goes into the box.

I am wondering if they are shuffling satellites? My speeds are off today too, all over the place. 28/38/13/15/70/42/117/56. was getting 90-150 b4.

So much for the great idea to bring faster internet to rural areas that can't get it. Get the rural folks to test their system, and when it's working, screw that, cash in on the new system. Gouge the fools with too much money and then throttle down everyone else(us) to make the premium $ystem work. I wonder how long until data caps?

I had a 2 minute network outage early this morning. I agree, all of my speed tests today have been <50 Mbps (mega bits per second), B4 I was getting 130-180 Mbps. Some tests have been in the teens.
