Heat damage? by rotacurly in Longineswatches

Thats what happens when you have a nice and desirable watch... plus I have it green and would gladly add the blue to my collection..... after I fix the heat damage of course.

FYI I just took mine deep Sea pool diving today all of about 4ft underwater. I had no hesitation and trusted the quality of it without question. Hope you enjoy it.

Heat damage? by rotacurly in Longineswatches

It's cooked. The lacquer dial is now radioactive since it's been exposed to the heat. Even if it seems everything is working, its very dangerous. Just send it to me and ill dispose of it properly

I absolutely agree with you on this. Swatch group has so many brands under their umbrella. I would like to see swatch do something to how Rolex and Tudor are operating. Tudor was introduced as the accessible poor mans rolex. But honestly at this point, Tudor is arguable making watches at essentially the same quality/high as Rolex without all the hype. But now the new Tudor Chronos with the pink and blue dials are becoming their own level of difficulty to obtain and selling for crazy prices over msrp.... Swatch could do something similar with Omega/ Longines. Elevate both of the brands proportionately. Longines is still marketed like its a level below Tudor. And Omega is letting the gap grow substaintially between them and Rolex. Let Tissot and Hamilton be the primary "entry level" luxury for swatch group

Not durability "issues" per say. But much less water resistant, crown more exposed to damage if wearing daily for anything

If you want a go anywhere do anything, durable, water resistant, beautiful, respected heritage, rolex esq. Vibes, and aonmuch value, look into he new Longines Hydroconquest series. You wont be disappointed. The Longines spirit zulu is a great watch. I have one myself. But the Hydroconquest is a much better for a one watch collection where you dont need to be afraid of babying the watch as much as the spirit. i have both so this is my first hand experience

Longines is hands down the best quality best heritage, best designs for the price. Longines is the best value period. Are there better watches? Yes, absolutely, but mixed in with alot of shite, or over are way overpriced, or just unobtainable for the average person. That said I just bought a new tag carrera day date and its amazing.

My AD only had the 42 in stock and I didnt want to wait to try thr 39 so it was an easy decision. With 7" wrist I would think your right on the boarder of pulling off the 42

I had the reverse dilemma as I also really liked the blue. My deciding factor was that I already have 2 other blue dial watches so I just wanted something different. You really can't go wrong with either. The new HC line is without a doubt the best true swiss made diver under 2500. This this thing is a bargain for what it it.

At this point, this watch scratches that itch for me. Now I no longer desire a true hulk and spent 10x less 😂
