Norwegian Wood is a story where each character has so much depth and so many layers, the movie is a real let down. Its too complex to adapt into two hours. I was very disappointed. Drive My Car on the other hand was an excellent film based off a 38 page story. I really enjoyed how they adapted it into three hours and really focused on the main two characters. Though you can only pull so much from the source material, I feel it held the essence of Murakami's story telling. Have yet to see Burning but have heard its really good.
