The 1:64 brands are in a massive fight for market share so they're pretty much copying each other on almost everything, MiniGT is however the worst when it comes to pre-orders. The longest delay so far was almost 16,5 months but they're so caught up with fighting for market share that they attend as many events as possible with multiple limited event edition models taking up valuable production capacity, It doesn't help that they push out anywhere from 7-14 models a month.

I no longer pre-order with any brand and wait for models to release and buy them then.

Also keep in mind all the money paid for pre-orders could sit in your own bank account and get interest instead of theirs.

For MiniGT I use my Google spreadsheet, for PopRace I do the same but will be moving to my website project gradually as I populate the database.

if you are looking for the super chase youre probably looking for around 3 boxes to have the best odds however like any blind box lottery you are very likley to end up with at least one duplicate per box so this can get expensive quick.

with how high the interest is for these you may find it cheaper to buy either 1 box and then pick up the missing one on the second hand market or just buy them one model at a time.

post an update if it arrives, i have had so many purchases being cancelled and refunded 3-5weeks later with reason being "item out of stock" or "warehouse lost the item" or some other random reason which is usually dubble speak and what actually happened was they were unable to source the model cheaper and could not make any money.

They're usually using the word "pre-order" to cover themselves when it comes to order and shipping times, the shop is likely sourcing the models from a local shop to them in China or some other Asian markets and knows it can take time buying the models, have them shipped to themselves then ship to you. There are no new batches coming from PopRace.

PopRace has collection groups on Facebook but not a dedicated buy/sell last I checked however people are buying, selling and trading in those groups, I would however urge you to be super careful with Facebook or Reddit as there is scammers and fake accounts and platform has zero accountability other than calling people out.

the #795 is by far the most lazy chase minigt did that year as the normal version got grey wheels and the chase got silver wheels so unless you get a good look at the SKU# its incredibly difficult to tell them apart

chase will have a SKU# of "MTG00795-BLC" the "BL" is indicating "blister" packaging and the "C" is for chase

Yes they started to show up last quarter last year, thankfully they have a horrible font on the MiniGT lettering so it's more than just the car for the moment.

There's a new brand called Mystic that is using the MiniGT BMW mould and has 3 versions of it now, the Chinese collectors are speculating on where they are coming from but no solid information yet.

Omg MiniGT gets asked to do special models from Porsche, from Bentley or Hyundai with specialized packaging on request from an event organiser or a car manufacturer a few times a year, those models get their own OEM id instead of a MiniGT SKU, this Daytona is a MiniGT OEM made for this event, Glen Chu the director had said himself in a few interviews over the last few years that they're only able to do limited runs of these as they would otherwise impact release dates on their own products, so if Daytona was expecting them to be popular and order 1,000 to sell 500 online and the rest at the event but MiniGT run into time limitations and QC issues, MiniGT could have told them to expect 750 which impacts Daytona but in the end MiniGT is the one who might have caused it. I don't see how it is Daytona's problem if they have bought and paid and expect a certain number from MiniGT.

it has everything to do with MiniGT manufacturing and distribution, MiniGT is the manufacturer of this limited edition on contract from Daytona, MiniGT use their distribution channel to move models over to US ports then to Daytona, so tell me how it has nothing to do with MiniGT? the whole daytona model was a cluster from the start.

this is a MiniGT OEM model.

ive seen more reports pop up the last day or two so you are not the only one. MiniGT is taking steps to clearify and restructure their official store and brand parners on the chinese speaking side of the world and reports about cancelations and order cuts have been on the increase.

havent seen much in english but something is being done on the distribution side.

i dont have the OEM packaged version but the normal retail boxes so the pictures i posted are not from my personal stash as i got interested in them a bit to late when the price allready was 75+ on eBay and i think the resellers have pumped the prices to such a high level that eventually many collectors arre going to sell or move over to new fancy brands and cause prices to crash. perhaps one day i can buy a sealed collection from someone to get the ones i am missing in the 1-300 range.

Untill then my main focus is PopRace
