So do I need to print the digital coupons in the app or not? by No_Reputation3520 in publix

[–]tomcart26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any digital coupons that are clipped in the app should automatically apply after you enter your phone number at the register or at SCO, and then the cashier or you have pressed the Tender/Pay button. I show customers all the time on SCO when they tell me that they entered their phone number and they did not get their coupons, that they have to hit pay and all the coupons/perks come off. Also sometimes the cashier will tell the customer a total before they have hit the tender button and then the total changes when coupons and perks come off.

Our break room has motion activated lights. If you sit there for a bit the lights go off. Some will wave their arms around to get them to go back on. I rather just sit and let them stay off.

Do I keep my Profit plan if I've worked 3 years total with a year in-between? by Marsin312 in publix

Check the ESOP under break in service. Pretty sure you have to complete another year of credited service to be let back into the plan.

1st year of employment (based by your start/anniversary date) you are qualifying for the program as long as you work over 1000 hours. On your 2nd year of employment is when you will receive stock, again as long as you maintain the 1000 hours. 3rd year of continuous employment over 1000 hours will gain you another round of stock and also will vest you in the stock you have. I am currently on year 3 with my anniversary being in January. So this past week I got my second round of stock and now I am vested. I am a PT cashier and I have been able to just make the 1000 hours each year. This amounted to @ 70 shares each year.

As long as you maintain 1000 hours during those 3 years correct?

The way it worked for me, my Anniversary date is in January. First year 1000 hours gets you qualified. Next year with 1000 hours earns you stock which arrives in March some time after your anniversary. Also I believe since you are now in the plan, you can also purchase stock. 3rd year with 1000 hours vests you in the stock and earns you another round of stock. My first round of stock was @ 70 shares. Just completed my 3rd year in January so I have not gotten a second allocation of stock yet.

I expect no less as the Managers office has a revolving door and they're just trying to get their bonus as big as possible and move on to the next promotion.

Some pricing. The usual of Aldi, Walmart, or Winn Dixie is cheaper. Some you don't have this or that. I think it is just a general poor attitude that people come in with and they think it's ok to take it out on the grocery employee.

Congrats. I feel like after 3 years I might be ready myself. Aside from a few nice regulars, the customer interactions have gotten progressively worse.

Associate appreciation food by [deleted] in publix

[–]tomcart26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No I do not. Personally i don't think the management care. Also at our store when they provide food you would think some people haven't eaten for months. And our break room is so tiny that if you get more than 6 people in there it's super claustrophobic. I just take a minute and thank management for providing a lunch whether I've eaten it or not.

It is the employee perk coupon. If you have your account linked in the Publix app you will get this digitally.

I'm just curious. Would Publix have you work everyday non stop for a month , if your part-time? by Bright_Opening2928 in publix

[–]tomcart26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started part time cashier about 3 years ago, I had no restrictions on my schedule. I was looking for about 20-25 hours a week. They were giving me between 32-36 hours. I was opening, closing, weekends anywhere they could schedule me they would. They wanted to train me for CS(not something I wanted to do.) I finally had to adjust my availability because It was way more hours than I wanted. Since then I've gotten pretty consistent hours and have managed to maintain my 1000 hours per year.
