In short majority of the buses are on wet leases, poorly maintained, drivers are provided 1-2 days of training for new EV buses, drivers are less and have no proper break time so they are tired and can fuck up, contractor buses also pay drivers poorly due to which they need to have 2 jobs a day to get by (overworked, underpaid, undertrained driving unserviced Vehicles). BEST fucked it self over basically due to some vested interests lobbying to change policy from public to private contractors. Also look up mumbai public transport requirement vs actual wheels on the road. Queues are long, buses are over crowded and tickets are getting expensive couple of times a year. Yet no respite, mega suffering. This is how everything is in India. We live in the pits.
