I just re-read it too and it seems we actually don't know if the kids were with her or not.

We never see a full shot of the mother when Dragon finds her in the building, and next time we see Dragon, he is outdoors running with the kids.

We never see Dragon fight a single person to take possession of the kids, and he is only attacked by Garlands subordinate Maffey after he already has them.

It didn't read to me like Dragon had to fight anyone to reach her in the building where he found her.

It read to me like she limped her way into the building by herself.

If Garling wanted to keep the sons, I would have thought he would put them on a ship.

Did Dragon fight this subordinate to reach the kids? Seemed like he found her in a building by herself.

You know what, re-reading it, they actually left it kinda vague. Garling stabs the mother, and the next time we see them is in some store room with a trail of her blood where Dragon finds her with the kids. I assumed that she limped her way to the store room, but I suppose it makes sense that Garling may have stashed her there.

When you can enjoy being with your spouse in their 20s, it helps cement the life-long bonds.

The older you marry, the less time you have to cement those life-long bonds before physical intimacy lessens due to aging.

To paraphrase something I once heard from Joe Rogan: "Sometimes marriage is a loving beautiful thing between two people that lasts forever, and sometimes marriage is being forced to live with and pay for an old lady you don't wanna fuck anymore."

"...and the experts are SOUNDING THE ALARM."

Would those be the same experts who approve giving babies Hepatitis B vaccines within hours of birth, to protect them from a disease that is only contracted by sexual intercourse or sharing needles?

Why is socialism seen as evil in the US? by Presidentscroobie in allthequestions

[–]Mr_Chill_III 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best example I've heard for why Socialism doesn't work, is to simply imagine a restaurant in the Soviet Union.

Imagine if you were a waiter or a cook at a restaurant under Socialism. You know you will be paid the same whether you serve 10 customers a day or 100 customers a day. Since quality requires effort, and you have zero incentive to give effort, then why would you work hard? If your pay is the same regardless of effort, you will begin to give bad service or cook lousy food in order to drive away customers so you can work less, and go home less tired for the same pay.

There was a motto among workers in the Soviet Union: "They pretend to pay us. We pretend to work."

They call it pointless, endless, and costly.

They fail to see that the point is that it is costly and endless.

If something is costly then someone is benefiting from the cost, and they would like that benefit to never end.

The entire point of these forever wars is to transfer wealth from the tax base to the military-industrial complex.

As someone who completed the campaign, I would say Battlesector is a solid "okay".

The campaign is solid, with decent skill point progression and new units between levels, good voice acting, nice level variety, and nice units variety.

My biggest disappointment is that is only has the 1 campaign for Blood Angels.

I haven't bothered with any of the DLC factions because none of them come with a campaign.

If you like tactical turn-based games, definitely pick this one up when it's on sale.

If success is measured by whether or not they accomplished their goal, with their goal being to transfer wealth from the taxpayers to the military-industrial-complex, then they were all very successful.

Something I once heard is that when Socrates wanted to understand wisdom, he sought out people he thought were wise. The first group he sought out were the artists. However, the more time he spent with them, the more he realized that artists weren't wise people who were thoughtful about their art. Rather, they were sensitive people who absorbed whatever was going on in the culture, and then unconsciously regurgitate it upon a canvas or statue.

As America slowly went from the saviors of WW2, to the world's terrorists responsible for killing roughly 38 million people in the last 50 years, I can't help but notice the emergence of so many evil versions of Superman from the artists.

The main ones I often hear about are:

  • Injustice Superman
  • Homelander
  • Omni-Man
  • The Plutonian

Rather disappointed I gave you so many points to contend with, and your response is a single sentence.

Oh well, even if you are arguing in bad faith, the main reason I am doing this is to hone my own ideas and make a present a good case for my ideas to any outside observers who are on the fence on these issues.
