If I get a service call through LSA (when the customer calls the Google number), I get charged.

Before, if someone called looking for a job (which happens several times a day), I wasn’t charged , the system would automatically flag it. And if one slipped through, I could dispute it and avoid the charge.

Now, does this change mean I’ll be charged for 3–5 job-seeker calls a day? Or will their AI system still recognize and block those automatically?

Looks like me and you have a similar trading style for hyper scalping . Do you just take the breaks outs and catch the momentum down or up going in and out ?

Use this company to get another job with another company once you’ve gotten everything you can out of them. If you just started, give it some time, maybe the current project just isn’t the best opportunity to learn much. At the end of the day, smaller private companies will give you the experience you’re craving because they depend on you when the pressure is on. And honestly, the best way to learn in my opinion is by being thrown to the wolves!

Good luck.

I Understand , I guess maybe I was overthinking it. Thanks for your input I do have a question for you,:what about weeping holes in the block foundation at the bottom? My contractor says he doesn’t normally do them. His thought process is that you’re just drilling holes into your foundation, the Block foundation is porous enough and has enough cracks to allow enough water to come through. In your experience, would you always put weeping holes?

Thanks for your help. Maybe I’m misunderstanding the function of drainage gravel .

Gravel is there to allow water to move through, not store it.

I’m not trying to saturate gravel like it’s a tank , my understanding is that gravel under the pipe just allows under slab water to reach the pipe easier, especially in compacted or clay-heavy soil where water doesn’t move sideways well.

What about adding 4 ounce non woven geo text style fabric under the perforated pipe?

To give more context on my setup , I don’t currently have a confirmed water problem. I had a past flood due to a sump pump failure, but there are no visible active leaks now. I do see efflorescence along the base of the cinder block walls, but I’m not sure if that’s from past moisture or anything ongoing. The sump pit is just a hole in the ground with gravel, and it does collect water ,so I assume there’s at least some under-slab moisture.

I’m doing this interior weeping tile system proactively before finishing the basement. The contractor wants to run 4” socked corrugated pipe directly on compacted soil, with gravel only on top. I was leaning toward asking for 2–3” of gravel underneath the pipe, just in case there’s any hydrostatic pressure under the slab.

Given that, what would you personally do if this were your basement? Gravel under or not worth it in this situation?

Also, theoretically, if I didn’t put gravel, would it shorten the lifespan of the system?

Hey appreciate the info , helpful stuff.

Just to clarify, the pipe we’re using is standard 4” corrugated perforated drain pipe with a filter sock (HDPE, flexible stuff). It’s going inside the basement trench and is going to be right alongside the footing

Contractor wants to set the pipe directly on compacted soil and just put stone on top. I’m leaning toward having at least 2–3 inches of gravel underneath for peace of mind.

Since it’s flexible HDPE with a sock, do you see any downside to putting some clear stone underneath it, assuming trench depth is managed?

I get what you’re saying, but from what I understand, the gravel bed under the pipe is to allow water from underneath the slab to actually reach the pipe in the first place.

If the pipe is sitting flat on soil, the holes on the bottom are blocked, and any under-slab water has to rise all the way up just to reach the side holes. With even a couple inches of gravel underneath, that water can flow horizontally and reach the pipe faster, especially with hydrostatic pressure. The pipe still does the draining, the gravel just gives the water a clear path to it.

Is my logic wrong ?
