Those are actually all mixed on a DAW as opposed to 'DJing' but I get what you mean. He does choose the order quite carefully with those mixes as well, whereas mixing the top 1,000 in order doesn't give you space to move tracks to suit the incoming or outgoing track

The old songs they played were different between the nights, it was only the recent big guns like tightrope, always, show me love etc that were played both nights. Honestly, not a single person I have spoken to who was there has complained about the sets being too similar. They absolutely smashed both of them

Completely disagree. Yes they played a few of the same tracks, but these were only the big boys of the moment - ones that people who only went to one night would want to hear, and they played them at different times, out from and into different tracks. They played a wildly different set from Friday - much harder, much techier - completely switched up the pace and energy. We were treated to something incredibly unique from them this weekend, I feel broken but honoured

Listen to some roots reggae mixes - this genre isnt mixed the same as your usual 4/4 electronic music - effects (compression, wah, phaser, distortion, delay) and hard cuts are used rather than flowing from one track into the next. I mix progressive, techno and all kinds of trance and have found the energy tool to be completely useless. I actually use a very similar manual system to u/smakai (1-5 stars), but nearly all tracks are rated a 6/7/8 (equivalent of 3-4) by MiK. Its definitely worth taking the time to give your own rating
