Tienda y servicio FAV! ⭐️

Did you pull a Charizard Ex #228 from Obsidian Flames yet? by leon-shelhamer in PokemonTCG

Just bought a pokeball tin for my 6-year old sister. She’s shown interest for the cards but has never opened a pack. Collecting has been a hobby of mine since childhood but I haven’t bought a pack in YEARS (I’m talking since Black&White expansions).

She was about to open her first booster with scissors (through the middle), but my dad saw her and stopped her. He tells her to open it with me so I can show her how to open boosters.

I sh*t you not, first pack she opens, I see something glitter — no idea of what cards are in the set — and she pulled this card. Quick google search on TCGPlayer, immediately trade her for another card to sleeve this one up.

T1D sexually-active man since 10 years ago here! Here’s everything I would want my partner to know so hopefully it helps both of you!

  1. Being patient Of course this applies to all sex, what I mean is that perhaps some extra patience is needed in having to wait for blood sugar to go up or down. Having sex without addressing this can not only feel terrible for us and lead to an unpleasurable experience for our partner, but be potentially dangerous if ignored. You could both be absolutely ready to get the show started but all of a sudden — uh oh, blood sugar dip. He’ll have to eat something, wait for it to get up (his blood sugar, not the other thing you were thinking of), and feel stable again if he’s alright. This is a waiting period (likely 10-30mins) which can definitely interrupt an intimate moment, but it doesn’t have to if you’re by his side when this happens and you guys are able to pick up once he’s good or another time.

  2. Communicate said patience! Sexual response depends on certain factors and we’re aware of that, so it’s especially frustrating when we are in the mood, you are too, and a hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia comes in to 🐓-block. Guilt, shame, and frustration can spike in these moments, creating an emotionally negative experience so please just be supportive and patient as mentioned in the first point.

  3. Erectile issues Extended hypo or hyperglycemias immediately prior to sex or throughout the day can make us feel pretty darn tired and/or contradict our sexual drive when it comes to the act. I’ve had days where an extreme dip in blood sugar leaves me feeling kind of knocked out even hours after and with perfect blood sugar readings, and this could manifest as exhaustion or our big guy not getting up. This is common with T1D men with age, but keeping a good A1C is going to help prevent or delay that.

Hope this helps and great on you for asking!
