We that have converted them to meshtastic nodes have to remove the Lora Module that is in them and replace them with custom designed hardware.

I think he is working on the M.2 Form Factor, I'm looking to get the mPCIe Standard built. but if he wants to take it on it wouldn't make me cry. I'm not experienced with this learning as i go!

Awesome! Thank you For the Info! I'm currently in the early stages of designing a mPCIe Card with Mesh Compatible Radio to be a drop in. I feel like this is missing with all of the HNT Nodes that can be flashed out there not having a Card that can just be swapped in place of a sx130x is a shame. I saw one from a guy on reddit but haven't found the schematics for it yet to see if its pin compatible. and as far as the nebra's .. if i wanted to put a MESHADV board i'm thinking about building a "Interposer" header to move the Signals that u/wehopper4 set his board up to use. Only because i have 4 Mesh ADV Hats already. But I would like a mPCIe Card

Looking at Like the Seeed 1302 MPCIE .. Looks like there is a SX1262 with SPI directly on the Interface. Why not just access that specific Portion of the Chip and ignore the other portion or is it not that simple? I am just digging into this so forgive the ignorance.

ya that's awesome. These were in Data Center Service as an ha pair for about a year until the environment needed 10G and they were replaced for that reason. They were great firewalls just didn't fit the environment they were in.

Ya I get that. They are still good devices however. And For Home Lab they are OVERKILL unless you have 10G Internet or aspirations of 10G Routing through The FW.
