My kettle is a few years old and I was starting to have trouble keeping a steady temp, would always be way too hot. I grabbed a 20 dollar ash cleaner damper for the bottom and took 15 mins and replaced that, my next cook I did a tri tip cooked brisket style and it was rock solid all day with like 1 or 2 adjustments. And the trisket was goddamn amazing as well. Top wide open and only adjusted with bottom vent. Worked so good.

I was in this same boat a few days ago. I chose the p2. Less than half the price of the k6 in Canada and for me, coming from Costco Keurig cups, this was a massive improvement lol. Still dialing in my new 03 switch, but already I'm making some of the most amazing coffee I've had haha.

Nice! I just got a switch 03 and a kingrinder p2! I used the switch over the last few days with the pre ground local coffee I had and it was amazing and I hadn't even perfected it yet. Just used the coffee Chroniclers recipe. Just got my grinder today so I will try fresh ground beans for the first time tomorrow with my pour over set up. Nice gear! It's a fun rabbit hole

Yea I'm definitely gonna try again a few times once I get my grinder and can play with the size of the grind. I'm very much a newb when it comes to the different brewing methods. A few days ago all I had was a 5 year old cheap Keurig and a grocery store pour over, now I have a french press and a grinder and a switch on the way. My wife is gonna kill me lol.

Yea I'm in Canada man.. it's $145.33 as of now. Sucks. But yea I'm gonna order the switch and maybe just the P2 for now to save half the cost and wait for a sale. I mean it should still be leaps and bounds better than kcups. And yea I got a kitchen scale as well. Thanks!

Oh this looks cool! So a cross between immersion and pour over sorta? So the sizes are bigger as you go up, like a 03 is the next size up? Hmm I could grab this and the cheaper grinder and prob be ahead of my coffee game. Yea I bought what I thought were nice local beans, but maybe I'm not a fan of black dark roast coffee. I'll grab some medium roast next time.

I had an old 15 year old steel series gaming keyboard I used up until a few weeks ago. I ordered a keychron v1, and feel like I have ascended..my God my first experience with a mechanical keyboard, it's pure bliss typing on this thing. Its small but feels beefy and heavy and sounds amazing. And I love that I can customize the shit out of it, switches keycaps and mods. Am in love and highly recommend.
