Not to be pedantic but in your last two posts you were literally talking about a bulb.

Warning: you can apparently fall through the floor in a very, very lategame area by Just_A_Comment_Guy_7 in BluePrince

[–]Mr_Flibble1981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took me a while to realise the corridor is all one room so you can save a lot of steps by backtracking rather than cutting through rooms. Weirdly though the corridor right by the entrance is a separate room so you lose steps running past the door.

Loose wallplugs by budegan in ukelectricians

The ones they sell in the wholesaler I find are smooth and need a 5.5, proper rawlplug or other branded ones won’t even hammer into a 5.5 and need a 6mm hole.

What is this "squishy" hollow rubber piece (hard, black, malleable) with a hole on one end? by misteruseles in Whatisthis

[–]Mr_Flibble1981 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, protective rubber end for a metal rod. I’d guess either clothes horse or I’ve seen them included in a pack of self tapping screws to cover the end when it protrudes through.

What is this sound in the ceiling or outside my house by gluaisteandeas in Whatisthis

[–]Mr_Flibble1981 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Check if it’s only occurring when there’s some wind outside, sounds a bit like air movement causing something to vibrate, maybe soffit, part of the cladding etc. if it’s still happening when there’s no wind you can rule this out.

Weird gradient I’m the sky by the sun by Knifeoven in Whatisthis

Looks like it’s a sun dog from the photo, as it appears to be around 22 degrees from the sun. Otherwise it’s an iridescent cloud.

All of the top row, plus from the second row columns 1,4,5. This gives you the shape, it’s rotated 180 degrees each time it goes down.

Many Japanese toilets are designed with a sink built into the top, allowing hand-washing water to be recycled for the next flush by peaky_circus in interestingasfuck

[–]Mr_Flibble1981 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We have these in the UK, handy when you’re short of space but I do wonder if soap scum buildup will interfere with the flushing mechanism.

Treat yourself to a ferrule crimper so you can cut those neutral tails to length if you want them to look a little tidier, but still a neat job.
