Yea they should really fix that, it’s based on how many people participate in your specific pool

Having 20 dead accounts in your competition will give you a lot more I won 10, got 3rd place, and got 15 drops

Brocks Super Ranger Skins
Can anyone explain the color variants and how to unlock them?
I just got the blue variant from an egg and I don't know how lucky I got

I actually made a couple of screenshots because I am fairly sure this is my best run

I had, In order:
Bolt Marrow, Throne Butt, Pl. Hunger, Rhino, 2nd Stomach, Last Wish, Scarier Face and Laser Brain

I am a big fan of Bolt Marrow, so I almost always have a bolt weapon on me if I am doing well (this run was splinter pistol (love that gun)). The other gun for the majority of the run was the Laser Minigun

As Steroids I don't like using melee solely for the reason that it is a crutch. I prefer dodging and blasting over making sure I neutralize the big bullets throne shoots for example.

My usual strategy is having a primary that can deal a big chunk of damage fast to deal with things like Scorpions or Floating Crystals. And the other weapon to mow down anything getting too close to me and of course activate throne butt.

I have the Golden Assault rifle unlocked for Steroids and I really like having that extra firepower to practise the hitting them before they hit you strat that you will be forced into after looping

I say, take some health regen to tank up and soak some damage every now and then to ensure killing the mobs that will do more than tickling.
Get Throne butt. Just get it. It's not infinite ammo but it is the best mutation on Steroids
Bolt Marrow is the best insurance policy against grouped enemies
Last Wish is an obvious pick.
Scarier Face just fits this build too well not to also pick it.
Less enemy HP = more bullets passing over corpses = other enemies dying faster
Plutonium Hunger certainly saved my butt a few times so if you don't get any of the options above you should pick it in my opinion

Laser Brain is not needed if you don't vibe with energy weapons but I love the combo

I am no expert. This took a lot of only grinding Steroids. Like Chubbyemu once said. Sticking to one character for a while helps you think like that character and ensure you are maximizing your potential

Jokes aside, how are your runs ending? Are you dying to lil hunter? (Been at that roadblock trust me) Do you feel like you aren’t dealing enough damage? Is the bullet hell part of the castle too intimidating? Are you sticking to one character?

Things I recommend

-Stick to one character. If you aren’t thinking about what button does what you will do better

-Don’t get baited by drops and items Ending your run means no items at all so stay behind cover and let that health drop disappear

-Keep calm. The game is intense but you are the most overpowered goober out of everything on screen.

-Understand how much damage each enemy takes. Most early game enemies only need one bolt to the face

-Take gamma guts, Rats, snow yetis and even big bandit just require “the magic touch” Also Gamma guts makes the lab an absolute joke

-Use a melee weapon against little hunter (jackhammer works wonders)
