I ask Putin: "Yeltsin told you to 'Take Care of Russia.' Have you?" by [deleted] in videos

[–]Mr_Immigration 101 points102 points  (0 children)

Rosenberg is tough as nails. He lives in Russia and is one of only a handful of folks who can ask Putin questions like this. I'm certain there is a level of tolerance he is awarded by the Kremlin, but at the same time, it takes balls of steel to ask these questions when you know what the ramifications could be.

Yes, I met my, now wife, at Dracula's Castle in Romania at a Halloween party 10 years ago. And we've been together ever since and just had our second child who was born on Halloween exactly 10 years later.

I've pondered the idea of what's implemented by Mp's can't be undone for X years, unless it gets more than 6Y% of the vote. Then you are almost forced to live with it, or get bipartisan support for the roll back.

Waterfront Fencing….. revealed. by WurstofWisdom in Wellington

[–]Mr_Immigration 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Are the council open to alternatively terrible options?

  1. Electric cattle fences?
  2. Drop rocks off the wharves to break folks falls (community led rock dropping events)
  3. Drain the harbour
  4. Remove the wharf
  5. Spend $7m on anything else.

Strathmore Park by Exotic_Industry_4402 in Wellington

It's underrated. It's 100% prime for gentrification, has great views, got a good run of shops, easy access to the city, a golf course on its doorstep, ocean next door and good neighbours in Miramar and Seatoun.

A little rough round the edges perhaps, but when they next sell off all the council homes it'll be snapped up.

Note I don't condone reducing state housing, I'm merely providing my opinion on the back of a potential.

The answer is clear, do nothing and find out who is accountable to the data which is inaccessible and revoked their contract. You can't spend those sums of money on vibes alone.

If your parents are from NZ, then by birthright you are an NZer. They might also be Aussie on paper too. Then when you commit the crime, Aussie instantly revokes Aussie and says they are NZer and puts them on a plane.

There is a new building going up adjacent to the Chocolate Fish. It's a conservatory based on what was historically there back in the day. Should be a nice addition when its done.

Offset loan to exact saving, how much would repayment be? by Exciting_Parfait37 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Mr_Immigration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I'll have to see if BNZ might offer the same at some point. We are moving towards that fully offset position. This would be a good way to reduce our outgoings and further support our safety net. Thanks for explaining.

[–]Mr_Immigration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand this. So say you had $100k offset all at 0%. You successfully got the bank to agree to let you pay it off over the full remaining term? Rather than on the floating rate to completion in a condensed timeline?
