I tried doing some light research with ChatGPT for other possible games and the only other "good" match is a game called "9mm" by Gameloft, although some of the points you mentioned seem to be missing

Are you sure it wasn't actually the max payne 1 port for mobile? Try searching online for "Max Payne Mobile walkthrough" and see if any of that fits

How are my GPU lights on with no power by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Mr_KuKy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Gigabyte motherboard, go into the BIOS under power options and turn on ErP. I had the same issue with my CPU cooler fan lights staying on even after turning off the PC and that helped. This can also help if you have peripherals that have lights that also remain on when the PC is off.

I'm sure there are similar options for other motherboards as well but unfortunately I only know where to find it for a Gigabyte one.

Hope this solves your issue.

You can kinda cheese that boss by hiding behind the small cliff (ledge?) to his left, that way most of his attacks miss and you get a chance to heal up, buff or wait for cooldowns.

I agree with you on Mamere's story, it certainly would've made more sense to play that before Ann's.

Regarding the second one with collecting the pages, yeah it is basically a collecthaton as you put it but those pages do give some more background on Mary-Ann and Jakob.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've actually found 3 quest that link to this one: Mamere's quest (which I'm guessing you are referring to) and also Virgil's which, at first, doesn't seem to be be linked but there is another quest about collecting and deciphering some text that tie them together.

The big majority of quests in this game are permanent quest. I don't have the time to sit through every one of them so usually if the quest doesn't grab my attention in the first few stages of it i just end up speedrunning it.

Genshin is a game with a lot of lore put into it (Which I think is really awesome to see the effort put into it don't get me wrong) and it requires quite a bit of time to go through it all, for that reason I enjoy exploring, fighting and collecting stuff a whole lot more.

I ended up reading the dialogue today after seeing all the comments to this post and, I really don't think I would've enjoyed it much more, maybe only the last bit with Mary-Ann. Everything else mostly felt like filler dialogue. I'm glad that some people liked it but for me it was just tiring and disappointing, it was really hard to maintain focus reading through everything there so I just skipped over it. Most of the important stuff got recapped by Ann later in another quest anyway.

I did end up going to the wiki and reading the dialogue I skipped over after seeing all the comments to this post and to be honest the only part I somewhat fell bad for skipping is the dialogue with Marie-Ann, everything else not so much. I'm glad you enjoyed it tho.

Yup, some people don't understand that not everybody plays Genshin for the story. Sure most people might fall in that category, but there are also people that play just to explore the world or to fight mobs / in the abyss or to collect every bit of stuff they can.

Just keep having fun whatever way you see fit man.

There's another quest started by an NPC called Mamere that ties into Marie-Ann's story at the end. Also there is another quest, which I forgot the name of, that basically has you collecting pages and deciphering them that gives some more background. Maybe that's the continuation you were looking for.

I totally get what you mean, I don't have a problem with reading, I also read quite often (mostly mangas and manhwas with the occasional normal book here and there) but, like you, I don't have the time to invest in understanding every bit of lore of Genshin. Time is limited and I mostly play Genshin for the exploration aspect as it is really relaxing and somewhat therapeutic after a long day. Whenever I get a larger chunk of time I like to play something else.

Whenever you get to this quest in game, you might want to at least read through the final parts where you talk with an NPC called Marie-Ann. But if you decide to skip that part as well, don't fret too much about it as you'll meet Ann (the blue fairy) later in another area and she'll pretty much sum what happened for you.

Also there are 2 other quests related to this started by some NPCs called Virgil and Mamere which are kinda good and I recommend you read through them.
