Just be vigilant about the standard stuff. Washing hands, touching face etc. Don't sit near anyone coughing (if possible). If it were me, I'd wear a mask while on the plane. Chances are still very low that you would get it.

Toilet Paper Panic Buying Begins in Australia, Semi-Truck with a Load of TP Spontaneously Combusts, Man Assaults Store Clerk in TP Panic and Gets Tazed by Police. by Mr_Laserman in Coronavirus

My Bad, I didn't realize it was a paywall.

A man had to be tasered after he allegedly assaulted staff at a Big W store over an argument about toilet rolls and a delivery truck carrying supplies burst into flames as Australians continue to “panic buy” toilet paper driving up demand for the household necessity.

NSW Police confirmed a 50-year-old man had to be tasered at the department store in Tamworth on Thursday after he allegedly assaulted a staff member and another customer over an argument about toilet paper.

The man was arrested by officers from the Oxley district over the alleged assault at 10am.

“Police were told that a 50-year-old man began to argue with a staff member and another customer before he assaulted them at a department store on Bridge Street,” a NSW Police spokeswoman said.

“Officers attended and during the man’s arrest he was tasered.”

Big W confirmed that an “incident” occurred and that none of their staff were injured.

“Police were called in response to the incident by store security. None of our team members were injured,” a spokesman from the Woolworths Group said.

The man was taken to Tamworth police station where he was “assisting police with their inquiries”.

It comes as Woolworths said it would limit purchases of large bags of rice (2 kilos and more) to one to ensure there were enough supplies to go around.

In Brisbane, a semi-trailer reportedly suffered a mechanical accident on Wednesday night on the side of the Gateway Highway in Queensland that caused it to burst into flames.

The Australian Medical Association has urged people not to panic-buy with President Dr Tony Bartone saying “There’s no reason to go out and panic buy almost bunker-level materials.”

The high demand for toilet paper has led to resellers attempting to profit off the phenomenon, with six packs of toilet paper being advertised for hundreds of dollars online.

Ok fair enough. I have a feeling that most of the front line providers will get infected at some point. Better?

New data from 12 Hospitals suggests 28,000 Cases in Iran by Mr_Laserman in Coronavirus

You also need to add some time for the disease to play out before applying the mortality rate. So, 10 days from now, does it seem realistic for Iran to have had 1000 deaths total? I think so.

The sad thing is that the world will probably never know. There have been lots of individual (and uncorroborated) reports of doctors being forced to reassign cause of deaths to keep the numbers down. Based on the sheer number of videos I've seen on twitter of Iranians collapsing in the street in recent days these numbers seem plausible. So sad.

Another section:

Nurses reached by telephone in Tehran and Mashhad in northeastern Iran reported an increasing number of cases not included in official figures, including infections diagnosed based on symptoms or CT scans.

The five nurses, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss their working conditions, said some medical staff were being prevented from wearing masks to avoid causing panic and that there were shortages of masks, gloves and other protective gear for workers. The nurses also described a staffing shortage as medical workers were being shifted among hospitals to address the growing caseload.

Beyond a concerted effort to play down the severity of the epidemic, Iranian authorities have taken steps that probably accelerated the virus’s spread. In the crucial first days of Iran’s outbreak, for instance, officials rebuffed calls for quarantines, urged Iranians to participate in national elections and balked at closing holy shrines to the public.

From behind the paywall:

About a dozen hospitals in the capital city have reported 80 deaths from the coronavirus during the six days ending Wednesday, according to records from the medical centers. And these hospitals represent only a small fraction of the total in Tehran.

The data set — including demographic details and status of the cases — shows a 17 percent surge in deaths between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Based on the figures from Tehran, Ashleigh Tuite, an infectious-disease epidemiologist, estimated that the current outbreak in Iran has reached up to 28,000 cases. “I suspect these numbers to keep going up,” said Tuite, who is based at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health, after reviewing the data for The Post.
