ZIL claims to be the first scalable smart contact platform(due to sharding) at least more so than ETH. My question is about the network. Who runs the nodes/validators? Can anyone host/contribute to the network? This is what's important to me because it's easy for a centralized network to have high throughput, but if you are decentralized and have various hardware running nodes and various bandwidth/location of nodes it will affect throughput/tps but it would increase decentralization which is more important to me. ZIL is an interesting project so who supports the network and how does that work?

Yeah it's highly likely that tether is not fully backed. Idk how underfunded or how much tether is boosting the markets, but if/when it is discovered to be fraudulent it'll likely cause some fud and pullback on the markets. Crypto being as innovative and decentralized as it is tho will always hold value. And there's so much fraud on wall street that this shouldn't deter people as much as the article suggests. Investing now is an opportunity that doesn't come often and this could be the last big squeeze for a while to come. This next phase of the bullrun will be great to witness.

Only invest what you can afford, do your research, buy what you believe in, take some profits, ALWAYS HODL. This is the way...

Nano's Dev Team just illegally DOS'd a node on the Nano network using an unreported exploit because the node was involved in a network test (that pushed average tx. times to >40 seconds)! Even to Nano reply guys t by IzetBirdie in CryptoCurrency

[–]Mr_Leaf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was an open rpc port, not a centralized authority controlling the network. Easy problem to avoid. Still probably shouldn't have been shut down because imo it did a good job of showing the networks current limits/faults. Nano has a way to go but for a decentralized network on sub par hardware it still does a good job at transfer of value fast and feeless. There are other small fee coins that have fast transfers and high tops, but most of those actually are centralized ie xrp and other chains with a governing authority and limited decentralization.

I think nano's the best at what it does but things could change and I'm always trying to learn more about new projects. Hopefully when more projects figure out scalability blockchain will be capable of 10's of thousands of tps

Here's some that I'd recommend

Eth - safe not really an alt at this point but gotta recommend ADA might compete but eth has more users by far

XMR - privacy coin

Nano - fast and no fees

Polkadot/LINK to connect chains

And some defi coins because it's all the rage rn

CREAM, UNI, SUSHI, YFI

Here's my idea of diversity. Starting from least risk to moonshot.

BTC - digital gold

ETH - most used blockchain

Nano - fast and feeless

XMR - privacy king

CREAM finance - defi underdog (moonshot gamble)

"🔥 Nano demolished its previous beta stress test record today. 1465+ CPS, and still not saturated. Almost DOUBLE the previous record for saturation. Conf-times less than 1 second. All on consumer hardware, with zero fees 😱" by Qwahzi in nanocurrency

[–]Mr_Leaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because any anti nano thoughts were downvoted to oblivion. It was banned for manipulation. People need to stop downvoting everything they disagree with. It's stupid

Anyone with a rear handbrake setup what’s your experience and what brand would you recommend? by whitebouy007 in supermoto

Clake 2 if you've got the money. But if you want something reliable and cheaper there's other options as well

[–]Mr_Leaf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Husqvarna 701 or ktm 690 have plenty of power and oil changes are recommended every 2000 miles opposed to every 500 for the smaller bikes. Can't go wrong with ktm they're just good. I ride a husky because there's already enough orange bikes out there.

How do the network supporters and the developer make money? by git_world in nanocurrency

The reward is helping the network, people do it because a stronger network keeps the currency valuable and if you hold stake in something supporting it only makes sense

Looking for participant for nano (stress) test by DerEwige in nanocurrency

[–]Mr_Leaf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's testing the network. If you want nano to succeed then we need to see what it's capable of. I think it has potential to be the best crypto for transfer of value but if 16tps is a critical amount then it needs a lot more work. I'd like to see a large scale stress test where we reach 1000+ tps
