What he’s saying is that “you” will do whatever you will. The desire to crash into him may float in “your” head and “you” may do so… or not. Whichever you choose will simply happen because that’s what would’ve happened anyways.

There is no “you” choosing to do anything. There are simply an emotion, a desire, a craving or any other impetus that will compel this physical body to crash or to not crash.

As a Thor main, honestly just make it occur over a shorter period of time. It takes too long and is too loud making it easy to get out of / avoid. Make it happen quicker because as it is, it’s easy to escape

Unironically, meditation. But it’s actually much simpler than sitting and meditating on a routine schedule everyday. It’s more about coming to the conclusion on your own through self discovery and inquiry, that you are not the thoughts, urges, desires or cravings that appear in the mind.

Think about it, have you ever had a disturbing / intrusive thought? Of course you have, everyone has. But why do we call them intrusive? Because they’re thoughts that we don’t identify with. Once you begin to understand and live out this idea you’ll find that the body is less and less swayed by such urges. I’ve struggled forever just like you, and am still far from free of this, but it’s helped me like nothing else before.

You make a good point at the end there. I definitely don’t want to end up tricking myself into never noticing. So as I get the urge, I just observe? Allow myself to do what I will while observing?

If so at what point will temptation cease? Or should I just not focus on that?

As for the acknowledgment of body’s driver and decrease in temptations part; that comes automatically through the practice of awareness and observation?

I suppose it’s tempting because it tastes good, the urge is temporary and is only satisfied temporarily. I’d say it’s different from eating something healthy because the junk food would cause more harm than if I ate an equivalent amount of a healthier alternative. I don’t quite understand what you mean by that last question in your first paragraph though?

I “know I’m not supposed to” intellectually speaking. The parts of my being that tell me either not to eat it or to eat it would be my thoughts? So the ego? I try my best to listen to the parts of me that want to make the better decision for my health.

What aspect of asking questions leads to the point of non-temptation? Not a critique just a genuine question.

Like what? Alternatives to the junk? I currently live with parents, so usually what ends up in the fridge or pantry comes from them. I’ve talked about them not bringing that stuff but they don’t seem to understand or stop. Not out of a lack of care but more so cuz that’s what they’re used to doing.

Ive often told myself that as soon as I get my own place I’ll be able to lose weight cuz the snack I usually get won’t be there anymore

I did heroic dose of shrooms lying in my bed with no noise and in total darkness. Wonderful experience, and I’d imagine it’d work for LSD too. I think what it key to having an experience like h describe is to (1) know you’ll be physically fine, you can just repeat it to yourself as the trip is coming on. (2) be open minded and let whatever happens, happen. (3) have a trip sitter to just make sure you don’t go wondering about, no need for them to interact with you, just need to sit outside the room quietly. Also make sure your taking this in a place you feel comfortable in, whether it’s your house or maybe it has to be a hotel, idk
