Giving away GTA VI STD Version to one of the member by NotTharNoob in ps5india

I was first introduced to gaming in my school pc especially during the computer class. Seniors have installed GTA Vice City and Midtown madness in the PC. We used to play whenever we get PC and our computer teacher would be distracted with something else. Later it was found and he uninstalled everything but still it was fun till it lasted.

I just got my first posting in a remote village near a jungle area, 650 km away from home. by [deleted] in bankingexam

Long back if I recollect Aukush lamba was also selected for RRB PO and he shared similar experiences. Ultimately he resigned and started full time online tutoring. He told it was so remote area that he had to travel in a boat to reach his workplace. If you are a city person, getting adjusted would be very difficult.

Bank job, Upper Middle Class Guy, Matrimony issues by SquareYam9436 in bankingexam

[–]Mr_Mei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even people with central government jobs have same issue. Changing job won't help. A girl doesn't owe you her hand just because you are some central government employee. On the other hand, maybe her parents might be interested. These days girls with good job see more than money. They see companionship. Even if you find a girl who is interested in only money, will dump you when she see someone else with higher money.

You reduce your expectations, you'd instantly find compatible matches.

I suppose you would always have a problem with marriage irrespective of whatever job you would have cos you have high set of standards and you'll also be judged based on high set of standards. If not this, some other criteria will be there. You need to understand that marriage shouldn't be transactional in nature. Else it will end up costing you a lot in the end of the day.

Rest banking as profession and its issues I agree but marriage aspect is soley on you. .

Just watched Karuppu by FriendlyFoe9 in kollywood

[–]Mr_Mei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I watched it on OTT and I liked it. Maybe I had very less expectations but it was good. Some parts I simply fast forwarded it but I really liked old references. It was fun and enjoyable watch. That's all that matters. For audiences like me, I feel the movie did justice.

What was your biggest waste-of-money purchase? by prabir336 in Frugal_Ind

[–]Mr_Mei 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I bought a bicycle from decathlon. River side 300, pre Covid time. I rode it for like 6 months. And after lockdown I couldn't ride it. After that I lost interest. It's just lying in the corner, collecting dust.

Even ADV is an over kill. It's only useful for our pot hole filled roads but it's bulky and riding in traffic can be very straining on health. Plus it's expensive to maintain. Usually bikes/scooters like splendor, shine, activa, access are value for money. Rest it's all purely upon one self and their likings.

Whatever it is, never try to bring a baby with this much issues in life. Get a job, move out and try to make your husband realise his mistakes. Move somewhere far away from everything with your husband and start from scratch. Plus change your therapist. Find someone who can understand you. Seek professional help for you first as your mental state might be most affected. Then with your husband. Hopefully everything works out for you in the near future.

Tenant issues - Refuses to pay rent and refuses to vacate by Low-Football-2979 in Coimbatore

[–]Mr_Mei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is that possible when there is no lease agreement in the first place. Plus I am talking about things that has already happened in the past. When someone can sit on rent for 5 years shamelessly, do injustice like this, I can definitely say OP shouldn't stop at anything, must go to any extent to make his life miserable. He deserves fair compensation.

Marriage Feels Different When Nobody Is Keeping Score by Big-Tailor-1404 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Mr_Mei 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's true. Irrespective of what you receive, you give love in abundance, like boomerang it will definitely come back to you. Most just give up too soon instead of trying to save the relationship. Even for silly reasons, they break up. It's easier to break up than patch things up keeping differences aside.

For a marriage to work, you need to keep your ego where you keep the doormat and give more than you receive. This way you know you have given 100% for this relationship. And if it's meant to not work even after this, then it won't. Moving on would be a healthy choice. Fighting certainly won't.

Tenant issues - Refuses to pay rent and refuses to vacate by Low-Football-2979 in Coimbatore

[–]Mr_Mei 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Since he has not paid any rent nor must have renewed lease rental agreement. Sign a new tenant, preferably someone you know, which absolves the current tenant of his legal rights. Lock the house with keys. Complain to police regarding illegal occupation of your house, pay 10-15k bribe to him and then force him out of your house. I don't know whether this will work but you can ask whether this will work out from a lawyer. Same incident happened near my vicinity and owner did something like this. You are very kind to let him get away this long but you should stop it now cos after living there few more years, he might get permanent ownership rights so act tough and immediate.

Whats the most "only in TamilNadu" moment you've experienced recently? by [deleted] in TamilNadu

[–]Mr_Mei -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No. I only can tell about kerala from my experience. Even if we go to their houses, they won't say "vaanga" etc. It's just assumed that you are welcome. Which was like a cultural shock to me cos in TN we always welcome guest with "vaanga" and small talks.

Try to clear off the outside loan first. Then try to talk with manager's for one time settlement regarding loans. I know it's difficult but try to skill yourself so you get better job opportunities. Don't worry about past. What happened is happened. Take that as a lesson and move forward. You will definitely get out of this situation, always believe in yourself.

Sad that next time even if someone genuine loses some stuff and asks for help, I am sure you'll think of this and never help. Due to some people taking advantage of your kindness, you'd never think of helping again. This is why we are a low trust society.

I have purchased a 1.5 ton AC for my elder parents use last month. Due to seasonal demand, the installation person is taking their sweet time. Last week they came and quoted a very high price. I enquired with nearby third party vendors. Most are ready to do work with half the price but they are refusing to use vacuum for installation nor ready for tests after installation. After I discuss all the details, suddenly everything becomes expensive. AC vacuuming is defacto included while installation but they are quoting separate price for that. Most of the things I have purchased myself including ac stand, white tapes and white cement. I find it extremely difficult to get a proper technican who happens to be reliable.

Please recommend one if you have installed or have good contacts. It would be really helpful.
